The Supervisor is a position that requires practical experience developed from within this business and\/or industry sector, from an operational basis on highways maintenance and commercial management, gained over a period of several years. Key knowledge and people management experience are essential. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and forward-thinking individual with strong commercial acumen who has previous experience of managing high performing teams.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"701\" data-end=\"704\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"706\" data-end=\"731\"><strong>Main Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a Supervisor your duties will include but not be limited to the following:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"2167\">\n<li data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"896\">Provide leadership, motivation, and direction to the contract unit delivery team<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"1035\">Efficient management and utilisation of all business unit\/company resources through planning and effective dialogue with peers\/clients<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1036\" data-end=\"1135\">Mapping and deployment of company resources encouraging increased utilisation where appropriate<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1191\">Ensure all personnel comply with company procedures<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1192\" data-end=\"1312\">Support, encourage, and develop all staff\/operatives within your control, identifying all appropriate training needs<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1313\" data-end=\"1483\">Ensure that all operations carried out within your area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard for safety of visitors, other members of staff, and yourself<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1484\" data-end=\"1546\">Ensure compliance with company safety &amp; quality procedures<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1547\" data-end=\"1635\">Assist and uphold discipline within the business, always ensuring company compliance<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1636\" data-end=\"1711\">Undertake all other appropriate duties as assigned by your line manager<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1712\" data-end=\"1775\">Assist as part of a rota system with Silver\/Bronze Call out<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1776\" data-end=\"1946\">Manage, where required, the preparation and production of Job packs for various works on the network, ensuring risks and hazards are properly identified and mitigated<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1947\" data-end=\"1992\">Support senior staff as and when required<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2072\">Ensure that Winter Maintenance is delivered as per the client\u2019s instruction<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2073\" data-end=\"2117\">Assist with investigations when required<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2118\" data-end=\"2167\">Manage and maintain winter and call out rotas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2169\" data-end=\"2172\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"2174\" data-end=\"2193\"><strong>Ideal Candidate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2227\" data-end=\"2591\">\n<li data-start=\"2227\" data-end=\"2309\">Minimum 2 years of experience within a similar role from a Highways background<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2310\" data-end=\"2456\">Confirmed knowledge and a firm understanding of highways legislation, including:\n<ul data-start=\"2397\" data-end=\"2456\">\n<li data-start=\"2397\" data-end=\"2417\">Road Traffic Act<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2420\" data-end=\"2433\">Chapter 8<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2436\" data-end=\"2444\">DMRB<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2447\" data-end=\"2456\">TSRGD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2457\" data-end=\"2591\">Proven ability to demonstrate strong financial understanding, including control and reporting of budgets and associated variations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2593\" data-end=\"2596\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"2598\" data-end=\"2621\"><strong>Package Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here at Colas, we offer a great total compensation package, including:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2695\" data-end=\"3290\">\n<li data-start=\"2695\" data-end=\"2759\">Salary between <strong data-start=\"2712\" data-end=\"2731\">\u00a340,000\u2013\u00a345,000<\/strong> (dependent on experience)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2760\" data-end=\"2829\"><strong data-start=\"2762\" data-end=\"2786\">Colas Pension Scheme<\/strong> with combined contributions of up to 10%<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2830\" data-end=\"2884\"><strong data-start=\"2832\" data-end=\"2857\">Life Assurance Scheme<\/strong> which is x4 basic salary<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2885\" data-end=\"2940\"><strong data-start=\"2887\" data-end=\"2938\">25 days annual leave per year + Public Holidays<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2941\" data-end=\"2982\"><strong data-start=\"2943\" data-end=\"2980\">Holiday Purchase &amp;
