Someone who is capable of performing any detailed design or, consultancy role across the life cycle of an OHL system from concept stage; through design, construction, operational maintenance and end of life works. Familiar with the UK industry, holds knowledge of UK standards and legislation.<\/p>\n<p>This role could be based anywhere in the UK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role accountabilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create detailed design deliverables for packages of work<\/li>\n<li>Create technical specifications for designs, contractual documentation<\/li>\n<li>Undertake design analysis, review and approve the work of others; to ensure quality of the deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Resolve technical problems, provide solutions, advise clients and stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Manage deliverables to timescales and budgets<\/li>\n<li>Develop personal and company profiles within the client base and wider industry<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate advanced contractual awareness<\/li>\n<li>Manage a multidisciplinary team<\/li>\n<li>Support project delivery teams, from a technical perspective<\/li>\n<li>Deliver safe and constructible designs through CDM awareness<\/li>\n<li>Lead design and deliverable innovations, which deliver value for company and clients alike<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has proven experience of OHL system development, design, retrofitting and modification, from 11kV through 400kV<\/li>\n<li>Expert knowledge in the use of CAD packages such as PLS-CADD<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record in UK HSE legislation, Risk and CDM management<\/li>\n<li>You must have significant experience within the electricity industry, relating to OHL System design<\/li>\n<li>Minimum Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Electrical Engineering or, closely related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Ideally Hold and maintain chartered engineer status, with a recognised body<\/li>\n<li>Ideally Hold and maintain corporate membership of an appropriate leading UK engineering institution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are seeking high calibre Overhead Line design staff in a range of roles, from Engineer level to Associate Technical Director, to expand our established electrical transmission &amp;
