specialist in\u00a0Landside Airport Planning\u00a0(Development Planning).\u00a0The successful candidate will be\u00a0recognised in the industry as a\u00a0technical expert in their specialist field.<\/p>\n<p>The candidate will\u00a0be part of a\u00a0globally respected and diverse team\u00a0of airport planners,\u00a0airfield engineers and\u00a0forecast,\u00a0capacity\u00a0and business analysts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key\u00a0responsibilities include:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical\u00a0Excellence\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead\u00a0development\u00a0planning workstreams\u00a0on\u00a0major airport development,\u00a0port\u00a0and coastal development\u00a0programmes, for owners and operators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Support scheme development and consenting approvals for port (air and water) related schemes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be recognised\u00a0by our clients and within the aviation industry as a\u00a0technical specialist\u00a0with\u00a0world-class\u00a0landside planning\u00a0expertise.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Train others in this specialist field, nurturing junior members of the team and helping\u00a0support\u00a0them to develop their\u00a0landside planning\u00a0capabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop\u00a0our\u00a0planning\u00a0expertise\u00a0across all\u00a0port\u00a0(air and\u00a0water)\u00a0landside facilities include those for\u00a0surface transport, airport cities, cargo and\u00a0logistics, ancillary and support facilities, and\u00a0port\u00a0adjacent land uses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Optimise\u00a0landside planning\u00a0at ports\u00a0(Air and water)\u00a0for land-use and operational efficiency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand surface access\u00a0numerical\u00a0capacity analysis and\u00a0simulation modelling to be able to work closely and collaboratively with transport planners and modellers who specialise in this work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Business Development\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Seek\u00a0and\u00a0pursue new business opportunities to grow\u00a0our\u00a0airport\u00a0landside\u00a0planning services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Build\u00a0and\u00a0maintain\u00a0robust\u00a0relationships with\u00a0new\u00a0and existing\u00a0airport operator\u00a0clients, influencing key\u00a0directors\u00a0to become their preferred consultant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan and\u00a0positioning for upcoming opportunities and prospects,\u00a0converting them into projects,\u00a0producing\u00a0high-quality\u00a0proposals that are both technically and commercially sound.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Delivery:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical\u00a0leadership\u00a0of\u00a0landside planning workstreams\u00a0of\u00a0major airport\u00a0masterplan\u00a0and development projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate\u00a0effectively with client organisations and key stakeholders, to give them confidence in the\u00a0landside planning\u00a0principles\u00a0of their development programmes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform the role of\u00a0Technical\u00a0Director\/Principal, accountable for\u00a0achieving\u00a0successful\u00a0project\u00a0outcomes,\u00a0coaching\u00a0and mentoring\u00a0Project Managers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>As\u00a0Technical\u00a0Director\/Principal\u00a0be\u00a0accountable for the successful completion of all projects under your oversight.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Candidate specification:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential experience:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive experience in\u00a0port\u00a0landside planning, including\u00a0work on large scale development programmes\u00a0(development planning of major infrastructure).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience to include landside transport\u00a0facilities, port operations, land-use planning,\u00a0cargo and\u00a0logistics, airport cities, and port support facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We are looking for candidates with the following characteristics:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proactive and self-motivated, with\u00a0a learning mindset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A person who is naturally curious, who is willing to clients, winning new work and becoming their preferred consultant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong project\u00a0leadership\u00a0skills\u00a0with an\u00a0ability to manage multiple priorities in a
