{"id":13598,"date":"2026-04-06T00:31:32","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T09:47:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/stanowisko\/healthcare-planner\/"},"modified":"2026-04-06T02:31:32","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T00:31:32","slug":"mott-macdonald-healthcare-planner-newcastle-upon-tyne-wielka-brytania","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/stanowisko\/mott-macdonald-healthcare-planner-newcastle-upon-tyne-wielka-brytania\/","title":{"rendered":"Healthcare Planner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our Global Health team is looking to recruit a Consultant to help grow our healthcare planning offering and support the wider development of our project teams within the healthcare sector globally. <strong>The candidate would ideally have a track record or experience of delivering some of the following healthcare planning services:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Population needs assessments<\/li>\n<li>Activity modelling and capacity planning<\/li>\n<li>Patient flow modelling<\/li>\n<li>Service model development<\/li>\n<li>Preparing schedules of accommodation and adjacency matrices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>This role, with a focus on healthcare planning, would be able to demonstrate a strong track record in undertaking many of the technical aspects of a healthcare planner, including but not limited to needs assessment, healthcare capacity planning, development of functional content and schedules of accommodation for new healthcare infrastructure, healthcare equipment listing, and the development of clinical briefs and operational output specifications to support healthcare business case developments.<\/div>\n<p><strong>Our specialist health team is embedded in the delivery of health and healthcare programmes covering three key strands:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ODA (official development assistance) public health work<\/li>\n<li>Healthcare system design and reconfiguration including healthcare infrastructure delivery<\/li>\n<li>Embedding health considerations across the work that other business sectors in Mott MacDonald work in<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>This team comprises a wide range of health\u2011related professionals including clinicians, healthcare management consultants and programme and project managers. This team works closely across the three strands and with other teams across Mott MacDonald\u2019s technical and engineering disciplines. Our healthcare system design and reconfiguration strand covers service redesign and reconfiguration, strategic healthcare planning, evaluation, productivity improvements, impact assessments, change management including digital interventions, and information analysis and modelling.<\/div>\n<p><strong>About you:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>The role of Consultant would be focused primarily on supporting the growth of this strand of work and able to deliver some or all of these commission types, with a particular emphasis on leading the technical healthcare planning in healthcare system and hospital design projects and in offering our clients more imaginative service offers to suit their needs.The Consultant provides leadership for winning and delivering projects, ensuring that the project is delivered successfully for the client and for Mott MacDonald. Successful technical delivery and maintenance of trust between the client and the company is key to commercial and financial success for Mott MacDonald. The Consultant will have ultimate responsibility for engaging with clients and will oversee Project Managers and support team members responsible for the commissions as well as mentoring and coaching as necessary, with the prime aim of ensuring the projects are able to deliver a successful outcome.<\/div>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities and duties include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for leading on many of the technical healthcare planning components of healthcare system and hospital redesign within individual assignments<\/li>\n<li>Winning and securing new project commissions through successful pre\u2011positioning with customers and bidding<\/li>\n<li>The successful completion of all projects under their oversight as Principal Consultant. Success means technical, commercial and financial success and realisation of client benefits agreed at tender stage. Broken down it means:\n<ul>\n<li>Technical success: implementing a commission delivery strategy to meet the objectives and scope provided by the client<\/li>\n<li>Commercial success: ensuring contract terms and risk mitigations from tender stage are put into practice and that terms and risk are challenged during the tender stage to ensure the project is feasible<\/li>\n<li>Financial success: delivering the commission in accordance with the budget and actively managing change<\/li>\n<li>Client satisfaction: engaging with clients to manage relationships and leading the delivery team to deliver the commission scope on time and to budget<\/li>\n<li>Sound project governance: instigating formal reviews and application of lessons learnt within the project, assessing whether project structure is fit for purpose, ensuring that risks are reviewed and mitigations put in place, and that the commission delivery plan is actively used to manage the project<\/li>\n<li>Health, safety and welfare: always working to Mott MacDonald\u2019s global standards and reviewing health, safety and welfare alongside project commercials and risk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Candidate specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree or Masters level or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Relevant experience in the NHS or healthcare consultancy environment, with an emphasis on healthcare facility planning<\/li>\n<li>Track record in leading and supporting the delivery of complex projects in healthcare on time and on budget<\/li>\n<li>Can demonstrate examples of problem\u2011solving skills to achieve delivery of a solution or outcome<\/li>\n<li>Excellent report\u2011writing experience, appropriate to different audiences<\/li>\n<li>Experience of supporting business\u2011development opportunities, for example developing new client relationships, writing proposals and business cases<\/li>\n<li>Experience of being client\u2011facing<\/li>\n<li>Effective interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Capable of working autonomously or as part of a team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overseas experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are actively recruiting a diverse workforce that is reflective of the communities we serve.
