{"id":13693,"date":"2026-04-01T00:32:16","date_gmt":"2026-03-18T09:08:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/stanowisko\/senior-ohl-design-engineers\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T02:32:16","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T00:32:16","slug":"arup-senior-ohl-design-engineers-birmingham-wielka-brytania","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/stanowisko\/arup-senior-ohl-design-engineers-birmingham-wielka-brytania\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior OHL Design Engineers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are seeking\u00a0<strong>Senior Engineering OHL candidates<\/strong>\u00a0with proven experience within transmission and distribution; typically including but not limited to working knowledge of routing and tower for design line work coupled with a broader CAD skillset.\u00a0We are open to candidates based anywhere in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidates will possess a background in EHV OHL design (33kV &#8211; 525kV) supporting construction, procurement, and consultancy on a variety of projects and in turn we will guide your professional development and recognition within the sector.<\/p>\n<p>The role will involve; Preparation and checking of feasibility studies, outline and detailed design technical reports and other written documents. &#8211; Design and checking of detail allocation and construction design drawings. &#8211; Production of design concepts, drawings, specifications and other technical documents; Management of teams of engineers and external suppliers. &#8211; Delivery of work to programme, budget and specification.<\/p>\n<p>At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective \u2013 in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Design of substation equipment and line termination gantry structures &amp; Cable Sealing Ends; Design powerlines with PLS-CADD and powerline towers with PLS-Tower; Sag &amp; tension calculations; &#8211; Catenary System design; &#8211; Line Profiling; &#8211; Gantry analysis; &#8211; Tower setting levels; &#8211; Environmental loads; &#8211; Insulator set design; &#8211; Overhead Line Wire Clearance; &#8211; Route plans; &#8211; Material Quantification &#8211; Short Circuit study; Design powerline structural foundations, including piled, pad, and rock-anchor foundations.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking the following skills and experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualification in relevant discipline<\/li>\n<li>Professionally qualified (or imminently within 12 months)<\/li>\n<li>Business Strategy leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>Previous consultancy experience<\/li>\n<li>Strong Programme\/project delivery skills<\/li>\n<li>BESC and Person Training \u2013 National Grid preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note, these vacancies are open to our multiple UK office locations depending on your preference.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are seeking\u00a0Senior Engineering OHL candidates\u00a0with proven experience within transmission and distribution;
