Clients will include private developers, public sector authorities and other organisations. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary environment alongside other environmental, planning, engineering and urban design specialists, and will work closely with technical disciplines (both internal and external to Arup) to deliver high quality environmental consultancy services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">As an Environmental Consultant at Arup, you will:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Delivering environmental impact assessment projects \u2013 this will involve managing the assessment process and technical teams and reviewing all technical inputs\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Writing\u00a0environmental reports including EIA screening reports, EIA scoping reports, Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, and other environmental reports including Strategic Environmental Assessments\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Reviewing topic reports\/inputs for compliance with EIA legislation and project details\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Project management activities including programming and budget control\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Interfacing with and leading multi-disciplinary project teams\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Communicating and liaising with clients\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Providing advice on environmental mitigation and enhancement measures\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Engaging and negotiating with stakeholders as part of the environmental impact assessment process\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Undertaking project reviews\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Assisting\u00a0with impact assessment team business development and marketing\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Preparing bids and presentations\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Does this role inspire you?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">You will be a motivated,\u00a0enthusiastic\u00a0and competent individual with existing environmental consultancy experience. You<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u202f<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">will require the following knowledge,\u00a0skills\u00a0and attributes:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Good understanding of environmental legislation, and experience of application of relevant legislation, policy and guidance in respect to impact assessment for a range of project types<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Have a proven ability to project manage environmental projects, successfully managing teams of technical specialists and multi-disciplinary teams<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Strong verbal and written communication skills.
