{"id":15504,"date":"2026-04-29T12:41:50","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T10:41:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=15504"},"modified":"2026-04-29T12:41:50","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T10:41:50","slug":"sweco-polska-coastal-engineer","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/stanowisko\/sweco-polska-coastal-engineer\/","title":{"rendered":"Coastal Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hydrodynamic and wave modelling;<\/li>\n<li>Sediment transport, morphodynamics, and modelling discharges for EIAs;<\/li>\n<li>Metocean analyses (operational conditions and extreme statistics);<\/li>\n<li>Design of coastal protection solutions (nature-based, soft, and hard structures);<\/li>\n<li>Concept development and technical advisory for coastal adaptation;<\/li>\n<li>GIS mapping, strategic risk planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What type of projects will you work with:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Large-scale coastal protection programmes, including sand nourishment and shoreline adaptation;<\/li>\n<li>Climate adaptation and resilience strategies supporting long-term coastal planning;<\/li>\n<li>Local erosion and coastal stabilization projects with direct real-world impact;<\/li>\n<li>Marine infrastructure and outfall design projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Our requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are open to candidates with different backgrounds and levels of experience, but this role is particularly suited for junior profiles with around\u00a0<strong>1 \u2013 3<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>years<\/strong>\u00a0of relevant experience (consulting or research);<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience within modelling tools such as\u00a0<strong>MIKE \/ TELEMAC \/ HEC-RAS;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Basic understanding of hydrodynamic and wave modelling, as well as sediment transport and morphodynamics;<\/li>\n<li>Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Good to have:<\/strong>\u00a0experience with XBeach or similar morphodynamic tools, EIA work, CAD skills (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D), programming skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB, GIS).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Private Medical Care &amp;
