Additionally, we have nationwide opportunities with various government bodies.<\/p>\n<p>Our growth trajectory is strong, supported by a robust pipeline of projects and you will be joining a growing team of like-minded people that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.<\/p>\n<p>As an Assistant Cost Manager \/Cost Manager, you will be expected to work with a Associate to successfully cost\/commercially manage, coordinate and deliver -water projects.<\/p>\n<p>The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception, through the design, procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here\u2019s what you\u2019ll do<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As an <strong>Assistant Cost Manager\/ Cost Manager<\/strong>, you will be expected to work as part of a team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects. This role involves providing client-side cost\/commercial management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle from option studies, option development, and construction tender support through to NEC contract administration and on-site delivery.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support Cost\/Commercial Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Participation in appropriate meetings and proactively engaging in discussions, contributing to the PEP, preparing cost reports, assisting with procurement strategies and tender documentation, general post contract commercial management and administration<\/li>\n<li>Proactively engaging with Client, contractor, and other stakeholders, being aware of the scope of service and ensuring we deliver within the agreed parameters and help to prevent disputes whenever possible.<\/li>\n<li>Client-side cost management, including stakeholder, risk, and contract management<\/li>\n<li>Support projects and commissions are delivered to the satisfaction of the client for quality, cost, and time<\/li>\n<li>Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team<\/li>\n<li>Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients<\/li>\n<li>Provide support on contract management services on NEC4 contracts, administering through a contract management system.<\/li>\n<li>Advise the client on procurement strategies and review tender documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you&#8217;re passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you. Why not give our AECOM page on LinkedIn a follow to stay updated on the impactful projects we&#8217;re working on and see firsthand the difference we&#8217;re making in the industry!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ready to push the limits of what\u2019s possible?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here\u2019s what we\u2019re looking for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Infrastructure cost\/commercial management experience (Water industry experience desirable)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of NEC suite of contracts, particularly the Professional Services Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC)<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working as part of an integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams<\/li>\n<li>Good communication and organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Relationship building skills \u2013ability to build strong relationships with clients, teams, and stakeholders as well as an ability to build and maintain networks of business contacts.<\/li>\n<li>Able to work under own initiative where appropriate working closely with the Senior Project Managers and Associates in the delivery of some of our projects.<\/li>\n<li>A team player with a \u2018can-do\u2019 attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible<\/li>\n<li>Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilize current digital tools.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally.<\/li>\n<li>Keen to work as part of a team and to develop and progress career development.<\/li>\n<li>Engenders a right first-time approach.<\/li>\n<li>Supporter of social and CSR activities, promoting a positive and enjoyable workplace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education, Professional Qualifications Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The individuals proposed for the role will ideally demonstrate the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum 3 years of experience in a consulting or contractor environment<\/li>\n<li>A relevant degree such as in quantity surveying, or relevant subject. Alternatively, relevant experience in industry would be considered acceptable for exceptional candidates.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding and use of NEC suite of contracts, particularly the Professional Services Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC)<\/li>\n<li>Working towards becoming a member of a related professional body (Eg RICS or equivalent) (would be desirable.<\/li>\n<li>You may be required to undertake and successfully complete security screening checks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assistant Cost Manager\/ Cost Manager (Water Sector) Are you a Cost\/Commercial Management professional looking to work on projects that make a difference and enhance the world around us?
