Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle \u2013 from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we\u2019re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview of the role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We \u2013 the Energy Unit, specifically the Nuclear; Defence and Civil division are looking to recruit a Senior Safety Case Engineer to join our team. The role will cover a number of areas including nuclear power generation, the naval nuclear programme and decommissioning. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team with plenty of opportunities for career progression and the chance to make an impact on the development of the Energy unit.<\/p>\n<p>For this role you will be expected to demonstrate knowledge\/experience within one or more of the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Safety Case Production (e.g. SJP, PCSR, PCmSR, PRS)<\/li>\n<li>Modification\/ Design Change Submissions (LC\/AC 22)<\/li>\n<li>Decommissioning<\/li>\n<li>Functional Safety Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Regulatory Interface<\/li>\n<li>ALARP Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Safety &amp; Risk Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Deterministic Safety Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Probabilistic Safety Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Nuclear Safety Legislation, Regulation and Policy<\/li>\n<li>Engineering Substantiation<\/li>\n<li>HAZOP and other identification studies<\/li>\n<li>HAZAN<\/li>\n<li>Criticality<\/li>\n<li>Nuclear Fire<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Candidate Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree qualified in a Science, Technology or Engineering discipline<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the nuclear or defence industries (although applicants from other high-hazard \/ regulated industries will be considered)<\/li>\n<li>Chartered Engineer or working towards<\/li>\n<li>Ability to demonstrate successful delivery of nuclear safety deliverables and strategy on complex projects<\/li>\n<li>Willing to develop and mentor more junior members of staff<\/li>\n<li>Candidates must be eligible to apply for and obtain Security Clearance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please be advised that offers for this role are conditional upon obtaining the appropriate level of Security Clearance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the\u202fbusiness\u202funit\u202f The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission &amp; distribution networks.
