As a Principal Electrical Design Engineer, you&#8217;ll be a key leader within our multidisciplinary delivery teams, working on a variety of water and wastewater capital projects where you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise to clients regionally as well as across the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Arcadis continues to grow its water sector engineering team following the successful appointment to a number of long\u2011term design partner agreements across the UK. We are working alongside collaborative delivery partners in the north of England, as well as with design\u2011and\u2011build contractors and water utility clients in the south. With several of these frameworks extending well into AMP9, this role offers people the chance to build lasting relationships, develop their careers within a stable pipeline of work, and play a meaningful part in shaping resilient water infrastructure for the future.<\/p>\n<p>This role sits within our Resilience Global Business Area. The rate at which we\u2019re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role accountabilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to self-start and work both independently and as a team member carrying out production, checking, review or approval of complex electrical detailed designs including calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Leading design and advisory services relating to new and existing water and wastewater process plants, pumping stations and ancillary assets.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring safety of yourself and others through design leadership and actions.<\/li>\n<li>Technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, in a Design Lead capacity where assigned, using latest digital design techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and develop innovative and optimised technical solutions based on client needs and drivers<\/li>\n<li>Lead and co-ordinate work with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and ICA)<\/li>\n<li>Establish and grow relationships with clients and capital alliance partners on project technical, commercial and progress matters<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring projects meet required technical, legislative, quality, safety and environmental standards and objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring and technical supervising colleagues with their professional development.<\/li>\n<li>Line management and performance development responsibility for assigned staff<\/li>\n<li>Capturing key project and technical knowledge, including innovations<\/li>\n<li>Promote MEICA team capability and achievements both internally and externally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Electrical Engineering or other directly related degree<\/li>\n<li>Chartered Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as IET, InstMC or CIWEM<\/li>\n<li>Significant experience and track record in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex engineering projects, preferably related to water and wastewater industry.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design platforms<\/li>\n<li>Team leader with collaborative behaviours<\/li>\n<li>Feasibility to detailed design stage delivery experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Role description: Our Water Design &amp; Engineering team are looking to recruit a Principal Electrical Design Engineer.
