{"id":16993,"date":"2026-05-28T13:17:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-28T11:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/stanowisko\/thermal-expert-transformers\/"},"modified":"2026-05-28T13:17:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T11:17:00","slug":"ge-vernova-thermal-expert-transformers-monchengladbach-niemcy","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/stanowisko\/ge-vernova-thermal-expert-transformers-monchengladbach-niemcy\/","title":{"rendered":"Thermal Expert Transformers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span class=\"emphasis-3\">Job Description<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Tool Development and Maintenance:<\/b>\u00a0Support the development and maintenance of thermal calculation tools; collaborate with developers to specify requirements, support implementation, and verify results.<\/li>\n<li><b>Global Technical Leadership:<\/b>\u00a0Drive thermal solutions for transformers on a global GE Vernova level and guide engineering teams on solving complex thermal aspects of transformer design using CFD, FEM and analytical solutions.<\/li>\n<li><b>Supplier Collaboration:<\/b>\u00a0Collaborate with external partners to drive innovation and technical excellence in transformer thermal design.<\/li>\n<li><b>Standards and Documentation:<\/b>\u00a0Provide comprehensive documentation and specifications for thermal solutions; drive the adaptation and improvement of thermal related technical standards. Collaborate with the Technology team to contribute to internal and external technical standards (e.g., IEC, CIGRE, IEEE).<\/li>\n<li><b>Factory and User Support:<\/b>\u00a0Support factories and end-users by handling technical tickets and conducting regular meetings to understand needs and pain points.<\/li>\n<li><b>Training and Mentorship:<\/b>\u00a0Prepare training materials and lead training sessions for end-users to ensure high-quality implementation of thermal solutions.<\/li>\n<li><b>Continuous Improvement:<\/b>\u00a0Maintain existing thermal documentation and proactively drive improvements and changes to existing solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related thermal design discipline). Master or PhD an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Solid and relevant professional experience, preferably with power transformers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Characteristics:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience in modeling thermal phenomena and knowledge of thermal simulation methods.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in preparing technical documentation, including technical drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Active member of CIGRE, IEC or IEEE<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deep understanding of the thermal domain within power engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with CFD &#8211; ANSYS Fluent, OpenFoam or similar<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of C#, .NET framework, MS SQL and Git.<\/li>\n<li>Solid knowledge of Office 365 tools, with high proficiency in Excel, Word, and Teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Communication &amp; Leadership:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of German and French is a distinct advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in cross-functional groups to achieve common targets.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in R&amp;D project management<\/li>\n<li>Ability to plan and execute tasks in a timely manner while maintaining high quality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Tool Development and Maintenance:\u00a0Support the development and maintenance of thermal calculation tools; collaborate with developers to specify requirements, support implementation, and verify results.
