You design the mechanical components that form the heart of our systems.<\/p>\n<p>Your responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Independently developing and elaborating basic and detailed designs of steel structures, mechanical components, and mechanisms.<\/li>\n<li>Performing structural calculations and basic FEM analyses to support your designs.<\/li>\n<li>Taking into account manufacturability, cost, material selection, production processes, and assembly.<\/li>\n<li>Creating, checking, and revising drawings for both design and production purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring your design integrates seamlessly within the overall environment and system design.<\/li>\n<li>Developing alternative design solutions in case of production or assembly issues.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating with procurement, suppliers, and other disciplines regarding component and interface specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing ideas for the optimisation of existing designs and supporting innovation efforts.<\/li>\n<li>Delivering your design to the structural engineer, who further optimises it in consultation and collaboration with you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In short: you create designs that others can build upon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wondering if you are &#8216;equipped for impact&#8217;?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creative, innovative, and proactive.<\/li>\n<li>Strong in communication.<\/li>\n<li>A team player who also performs well independently.<\/li>\n<li>Solution-oriented, flexible, and detail-oriented.<\/li>\n<li>Able to switch quickly in a dynamic project environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>2\u20135 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer within the offshore or maritime sector, or in the heavy steel industry.<\/li>\n<li>A passion for complex mechanical systems and design.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to prioritise in a technically challenging environment.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Some practical things we need you to have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An EU passport\/valid work permit for The Netherlands;<\/li>\n<li>A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>More about Huisman<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We design and produce in-house and deliver our turn-key products to clients worldwide.
