You\u2019ll be responsible for servicing and commissioning fire detection systems on naval vessels, commercial marine projects, including offshore and overseas assignments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary and company car<\/li>\n<li>Hybrid working &#8211; WFH<\/li>\n<li>On-site\/offshore allowances and overtime payments<\/li>\n<li>25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays and sick pay<\/li>\n<li>Onsite daily allowance<\/li>\n<li>All travel and mobilisation costs covered and work from home when not on site<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive benefits: 7% matched pension, free life assurance, employee assistance programme, referral scheme, discounts on high street brands and Johnson Controls products, cycle-to-work scheme<\/li>\n<li>The opportunity for additional earnings through our Ship2Shore programme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Service &amp; Maintenance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform planned and reactive servicing of marine fire detection and alarm systems (smoke, heat, multi-sensors, aspirating detectors, water mist)<\/li>\n<li>Diagnose, repair, and upgrade equipment to manufacturer and statutory standards<\/li>\n<li>Complete detailed service reports and log all site work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Commissioning<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead or support commissioning of new and upgraded systems on vessels and offshore installations<\/li>\n<li>Carry out programming, integration, and functional testing<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with electrical, automation, and shipbuilding teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Graphics Systems<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Install, configure, and troubleshoot fire alarm graphics interfaces (annunciators, HMI systems)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate real-time system status<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with software providers and customer IT teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Customer Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical guidance to vessel crews and operators<\/li>\n<li>Deliver training sessions and demonstrations<\/li>\n<li>Represent the company professionally on board and in project meetings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven Electrical Engineering experience<\/li>\n<li>Degree or qualification in Electrical\/Electronic or Control &amp; Instrumentation Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interpret client technical specifications<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience servicing and commissioning fire detection systems (BS 5839)<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with major brands (Autronica, Tyco, Siemens, Consilium, Kidde, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with graphics systems and HMI interfaces<\/li>\n<li>Full UK driving licence<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work ad-hoc and offshore and overseas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marine\/offshore field experience<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Ethernet\/IP networks and serial interfaces<\/li>\n<li>Offshore safety training (BOSIET, HUET, STCW) \u2013 training provided if not held<\/li>\n<li>PLC integration experience<\/li>\n<li>SC security clearance (background check required)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Detection Field Service Specialist to join our dynamic Marine Service team.
