As an R&amp;D Engineer \u2013 electrical transient simulations, you will work on cutting-edge medium voltage transformer and power converter technologies in a dynamic, international environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>You\u2019ll be part of a collaborative global team, contributing to the full R&amp;D lifecycle\u2014from concept to testing and product launch, ensuring that our solutions meet technical specifications, market demands and quality needs. This role offers hands-on experience, technical growth, and the chance to make a real impact in the energy transition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How you will make an impact\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement innovative design rules for transformer and converter applications to mitigate interaction failures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Create and validate medium- and high-frequency models to predict and analyze system behaviour as well as ensure optimal performance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with customers during the specification stage to ensure that designs meet the requirements and performance expectations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical support to quality departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Study overvoltage phenomena as well as the effect of transient events on electrical systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Utilize advanced simulation tools, such as Finite Element Method (FEM) and Matlab, to analyze network resonance and reconfiguration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Take ownership of work packages and deliver results using a structured approach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to intellectual property and risk management activities in R&amp;D<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Your background\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, ideally with experience in R&amp;D within a business environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong background in distribution system and transformer transient mathematical analysis, modelling, and simulation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Good knowledge of grid-connected power converters and switching behaviour, ideally complemented with knowledge on average and small-signal modelling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Good knowledge of MATLAB and Python, complemented by experience using dedicated electric circuit simulation tools, such as Simulink, PLECS, LT Spice, EMTP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience using finite element simulation tools (Ansys Comsol) would be a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong communication skills in English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Analytical thinking and ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary and international teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Join our Next Generation Grids Transformers team in Lodz and shape the future of energy.
