You will lead all on-site activities of a project to assure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during the start-up, construction and\/or erection, commissioning and maintenance phases<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location, (Remote based) expectations to travel, you will manage sites that can be anywhere in United Kingdom\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>(Please note we are unable to provide visa support for this position)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How you&#8217;ll make an impact:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Planning project on-site activities together with the\u00a0Senior\u00a0Management Team\u00a0and\u00a0Project Manager, including necessary resources,\u00a0equipment\u00a0and milestones. Coordinating agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site\u00a0organization\u00a0and policy.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the site, from receiving the assigned site area from the customer until handing\u00a0over it back\u00a0to the customer on completion day. This responsibility includes coordination of all on-site activities to ensure the successful execution of start-up, construction, erection,\u00a0testing\u00a0and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Serving as a project representative on site. Build and\u00a0maintain\u00a0effective relationships with customers as well as other local stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring correct handling, storage and installation of equipment and material to avoid any\u00a0damages. Report promptly to project\u00a0logistics\u00a0when goods have been received to\u00a0site.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that detailed and up-to-date risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are in place in respect of each work package, compliant with the\u00a0project\u00a0health and safety plan.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring\u00a0all on-site resources are\u00a0properly trained\u00a0and proactively\u00a0promote\u00a0health and safety considerations to project partners throughout the project.<\/li>\n<li>Controlling project cost for the project site work,\u00a0monitors\u00a0actual\u00a0spend\u00a0against forecasts, and estimates final cost for the same.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring all documentation is modified and updated as necessary, the document handling system is maintained, and latest revisions are used for the construction work on site.<\/li>\n<li>Managing the sub-contractors on site to ensure that necessary quality and progress are achieved to meet delivery date and agreed standards.<\/li>\n<li>Report regularly to the Project Manager on site activities, HSE (health, safety, environment), quality, progress, cost.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your Background:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s\u00a0in electrical\/mechanical engineering, or equivalent skills<\/li>\n<li>5+ years\u2019 experience as Site Manager in construction and\/or installation business<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of the transmission regulations and current HSE legislation.<\/li>\n<li>Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative,\u00a0solutions-oriented\u00a0approach\u00a0and\u00a0strong communication\u00a0skills.<\/li>\n<li>Proactive and flexible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What We Offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary package<\/li>\n<li>25 days holidays, plus bank holidays<\/li>\n<li>Excellent company pension and wide-ranging benefits schemes.<\/li>\n<li>Top quality H&amp;S culture alongside comprehensive training and personal development programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Generous bonus scheme<\/li>\n<li>Inclusive Work Environment: We foster a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At Grid &amp; Power Quality Solutions and Service business at Hitachi Energy in Europe (HBUEU), Inclusion drives our culture of innovation and collaboration.
