About Egis in Ireland<\/strong><\/p>\n

Egis has operated in Ireland since 1959 and is one of the largest multi-disciplinary consultancy, engineering and operations firms in the country. Our services in Ireland span the full lifespan of infrastructure, from upstream feasibility studies through design, construction supervision, delivery and operations. Operating across the entire value chain of consulting, design and operation, Egis is the only group to understand infrastructure in its entirety. Our current activities in Ireland include operating the Dublin Tunnel and the Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork, overseeing 1200km of Ireland\u2019s motorways and working on the design and delivery of major transport projects and mobility services.<\/p>\n

With over 600 staff in Ireland across 16 offices nationwide, we are committed to enabling sustainable economic development and responding to the requirements of population growth while addressing climate change and reducing carbon emissions. In 2023 Egis acquired JB Barry & Partners, an engineering firm which has worked on major projects such as the Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant in Dublin and the N17\/N18 Gort to Tuam PPP motorway scheme in Galway. The Egis engineering division is now almost 200 people strong across four offices in Dublin, Castlebar, Cork and Limerick.<\/p>\n

About the Role<\/strong><\/div>\n
    \n
  • Provide support in all commercial and contractual for the successful delivery of this\u00a0project.<\/li>\n
  • Support Project Manager in all areas of contract administration.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor, manage, challenge,\u00a0defend and resolve all claims and compensation events in conjunction with the Project and\u00a0Commercial\u00a0Managers.<\/li>\n
  • Support production of monthly reports on key areas such as forecast\u00a0costs, price for work done to date audits, cash-flow, payments, claims, conciliation matters etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    What do we need from you<\/strong><\/div>\n
      \n
    • Minimum 8 years as a quantity surveyor, preferably within a rail\/rail infrastructure\u00a0environment.<\/li>\n
    • Experienced in using NEC 3 or 4 contracts, preferably Option C – target cost\u00a0contracts.<\/li>\n
    • Degree in Quantity Surveying,\u00a0Engineering\u00a0or related commercial management\u00a0qualification.<\/li>\n
    • Must be analytical,\u00a0possess\u00a0good negotiating skills,\u00a0exhibit\u00a0good commercial awareness\u00a0and apply sound contract administration\u00a0processes.<\/li>\n
    • Good understanding of the principles and application of construction\u00a0law.<\/li>\n
    • Previous\u00a0hands-on experience of delivering NEC target cost contracts or other target cost\u00a0contracts\u00a0advantageous.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
