This is your chance to drive commercial excellence, influence strategic outcomes, and grow your career across some of the UK\u2019s most vital sectors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your Role &amp; Impact<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the\u00a0<strong>Nuclear Commercial Lead<\/strong>, you\u2019ll work directly with our clients, leading a team of commercial professionals across multi-million-pound portfolios of contracts. You\u2019ll provide strategic oversight from procurement through to close-out, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and risk profiles. You\u2019ll also engage with senior stakeholders, regulators, and strategic partners to ensure commercial integrity and performance.<\/p>\n<p>This role is ideal for a commercially astute leader with deep infrastructure experience and a passion for driving value, innovation, and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Strategic Commercial Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work directly with our key clients, providing excellent commercial expertise and capability across the delivery lifecycle. This may be through secondment arrangements and being embedded within the client organisation<\/li>\n<li>Lead commercial delivery across complex, multi-workstream programmes, guiding procurement strategies and contract preparation through to management and close out<\/li>\n<li>Prepare, develop and implement practical commercial solutions to support and guide our clients<\/li>\n<li>Oversee contract execution, management, supplier performance evaluation and risk mitigation<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with NEC3\/4 and FIDIC contracts, UK law, and applicable regulatory frameworks<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams and client stakeholders to ensure commercial clarity and compliance<\/li>\n<li>Build and foster strong supply chain relationships<\/li>\n<li>Develop and build a strong industry network across clients and partners<\/li>\n<li>Lead the building and development of broader commercial and cost management capability<\/li>\n<li>Support the work-winning team to review and identify risks and accountabilities within tender packs and contractual terms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project &amp; Cost Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead commercial portfolios working closely with colleagues and associated disciplines to deliver a consistent and high-quality outcome<\/li>\n<li>Support feasibility studies, benchmarking, business case development and value management<\/li>\n<li>Lead cost planning, estimating, and final cost plan presentation<\/li>\n<li>Manage post-contract cost variances, valuations, and change control<\/li>\n<li>Oversee final account negotiation and post-project evaluation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Stakeholder Engagement &amp; Business Growth<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Act as a trusted interface with clients, consultants, and delivery teams<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with senior leadership to shape strategies and support robust decision-making<\/li>\n<li>Provide expert commercial insight<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a robust database of lessons learned and outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes and tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"jobad-qualifications\"><strong>What do we need from you<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>A qualification in a related subject (e.g. Quantity Surveying, Construction Law)<\/li>\n<li>Chartership in a related subject (or working towards)<\/li>\n<li>Expert commercial acumen and experience operating within client organisations.<\/li>\n<li>Strong financial modelling and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent client facing and supply chain facing skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience of managing teams<\/li>\n<li>A self-starter with the enthusiasm and ability to inspire and motivate people<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience in nuclear, water, environment, defence, rail, highways or other major\/complex infrastructure sectors<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and risk management<\/li>\n<li>Expert in NEC3\/4 contracts<\/li>\n<li>Experience and familiarity across the full construction programme lifecycle<\/li>\n<li>A strong appetite for continuous learning and self-development<\/li>\n<li>Fully conversant with all commonly utilised office IT packages as well as industry specific systems (e.g. contract management)<\/li>\n<li>A qualification in a related subject (e.g. Quantity Surveying, Construction Law)<\/li>\n<li>Chartership in a related subject (or working towards)<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work on-site at least 3 days per week (London or Manchester area)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you ready to lead with impact and shape the future of sustainable infrastructure?
