M&#038;E Quantity Surveying"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>As Associate Director \/ Team Leader of M&amp;E, you will be responsible for the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Project work<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring\u00a0the company values are promoted and maintained.<\/li>\n<li>Being the interface for projects between the client, design team and the project delivery team to support successful delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring\u00a0efficient and timely implementation of project requirements and maintaining projects on time and on budget.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring\u00a0adequate and timely communication channels are in place to support effective project delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Management of appropriate design, programme and cost information to allow recommendations and support decision making.<\/li>\n<li>Providing\u00a0guidance on the most effective procurement approach to achieve project deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Managing a\u00a0portfolio of clients (billing, relationship and engagement management).<\/li>\n<li>Providing\u00a0cost advice to clients when needed, for both project work and within relevant reports.<\/li>\n<li>Providing accurate measures from consultant\u2019s drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Actively participating in the preparation of tender documents, ensuring a full and comprehensive understanding of the project requirements is conveyed and reflected in tender documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiating\u00a0with contractors to ensure tender costs represent best value.<\/li>\n<li>Review and commenting upon tender return<\/li>\n<li>The preparation of contract documents..<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing contractor\u2019s variations.<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking life cycle costs.<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking valuations of the M&amp;E services.<\/li>\n<li>Reporting cost in a timely manner to the client.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overseeing \/ reviewing \/ approving the work of sub-consultants or junior members of staff in a positive and constructive manner, as may be required for the delivery of project appointments.<\/li>\n<li>Generally representing Egis in a professionally competent and positive manner, ensuring service quality and integrity is maintained to the highest possible standards.<\/li>\n<li>Reporting to the client and other stakeholders in line with the client\u2019s requirement with company standards.<\/li>\n<li>New business development &#8211; consistently pursuing\u00a0meetings with clients, prospects and referral sources to get new business.<\/li>\n<li>Actively seeking\u00a0opportunities to cross-sell additional services to existing clients.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the learning and development of all QS team staff related to M&amp;E specific\u00a0activities.<\/li>\n<li>Leading, supervising\u00a0and coordinating\u00a0the work of junior M&amp;E QSs allocated to projects.<\/li>\n<li>Allocating\u00a0tasks appropriately, providing\u00a0clear direction, checking outputs for quality and consistency.<\/li>\n<li>Acting as the first point of escalation for technical or delivery issues within the team.<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking\u00a0team member reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Support the QS North management team with fee management directly related to M&amp;E commissions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Delivering great client experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will build strong, professional relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.\u00a0In this context, the role will involve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Representing Egis at project meetings with clients, designers and contractors to provide advice on all aspects of project assignments and following up on actions assigned to Egis.<\/li>\n<li>Communicating clearly, concisely and coherently with the client and other consultants regarding information required for the purpose of performing our services.<\/li>\n<li>Identifying risks and issues with ongoing activities and positively identifying mitigation measures in a way that both protects the interests of the client, Egis\u00a0and any other relevant stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Exhibiting\u00a0high level of technical skill so that once you have\u00a0finished a client project, no one else needs to review it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In doing all of this, you will fully reflect our culture and values; confident, honest, responsible, supportive.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"jobad-qualifications\"><strong>What do we need from you<\/strong><\/div>\n<p><strong>Suitable candidates will be \/ have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A distinguished\u00a0expert in at least one service or industry.<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of M&amp;E systems.<\/li>\n<li>Proven\u00a0ability to complete technical projects with minimal assistance from others.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate contract administration experience across a range of projects and successful delivery of them.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable\u00a0knowledge of different tender options.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable\u00a0knowledge of different contracts.<\/li>\n<li>CADMeasure skills.<\/li>\n<li>CATO skills.<\/li>\n<li>Accurate and excellent attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable\u00a0involvement and good working relationships with several clients.<\/li>\n<li>Able to instil positivity in\u00a0junior members of the team through support and\u00a0encouragement,\u00a0recognising\u00a0different team members may require a different approach.<\/li>\n<li>Able to manage multiple projects &#8211;
