The company will invest in developing you into a commercial professional, capable of undertaking a cost management role on construction projects. Significant time, care and attention will be given to you by our senior management team throughout your training.<\/p>\n<p>You will be an integral part of the team and business, and your approach will represent Egis&#8217; company values. You will establish strong, supportive, professional relationships with colleagues, clients and the wider project teams built on mutual respect, trust and integrity all whilst contributing to our strategic business growth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Project work:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake a wide variety of pre and post contract duties, ensuring at all times that best practice is employed including but not limited to;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>a) Cost planning and estimation including life cycle costing, value management and engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>b) Preparation of tender and contract documents including compiling bills of quantities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>c) Administer contracts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>d) Post contract cost management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administer all project work in line with Egis policies, practices and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Representing Egis\u00a0in the marketplace.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring efficient and timely implementation of all tasks and project requirements and making every effort to assist with maintaining projects on time and on budget.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring adequate and timely communication channels are in place, both internally and externally to support effective project delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating and preparing information to support the client, seeking and listening to the clients requirements and acting on them accordingly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Generally representing Egis\u00a0in a professionally competent and positive manner, ensuring service quality and integrity is maintained to the highest possible standards.<\/li>\n<li>Reporting as appropriate to the client and other stakeholders in line with the client\u2019s requirement with company standards.<\/li>\n<li>Network and support business development objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Build upon and maintain culture.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor junior staff.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in continuous professional development activities.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with all Egis\u00a0policies and procedures, including the use of the Document Management System.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Delivering an excellent client experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will build strong, professional relationships with colleagues, clients, consultants and contractors, based on mutual respect, trust and integrity.\u00a0In this context, the role will involve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Representing Egis, under senior direction, at project meetings with clients, designers and contractors to provide advice on all aspects of project assignments and following up on actions assigned to Egis\u00a0at all such meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Communicating clearly, concisely and coherently with colleagues, clients and other consultants regarding information required for the purpose of performing our services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"jobad-qualifications\"><strong>What do we need from you<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>You will need to meet the standard entry requirements of the University degree course, e.g a\u00a0minimum of four SQA Highers at Grade BBCC (including Maths) plus Nat 5 English at B.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alternatively, you will have\u00a0<u>either<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Foundation Apprenticeship in a related discipline plus suitable academic qualifications<\/li>\n<li>A Modern Apprenticeship or college qualification in in a related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Sufficient recognition of prior learning (RPL) through industry-related experience, qualifications, and informal learning.
