{"id":18722,"date":"2026-06-23T12:03:21","date_gmt":"2026-06-23T10:03:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=18722"},"modified":"2026-06-23T12:03:21","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T10:03:21","slug":"arup-senior-tunnel-engineer-milano-mediolan","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/stanowisko\/arup-senior-tunnel-engineer-milano-mediolan\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Tunnel Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are looking for a<strong>\u00a0Senior Tunnel Engineer\u00a0<\/strong>to join our fast-growing Tunnelling team, in our Milan Office, who will deliver local and global projects including the HS2 project in UK, Metro Projects in Australia, California and Denmark, mining projects for energy infrastructures, expert advice to Italian and Global Clients and Contractors for infrastructures projects.<\/p>\n<p>The variety of projects and the internal research opportunities provide a great environment where to develop technical skills in mechanised and traditional tunnelling and the delivery of complex infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As a Senior Tunnel Engineer you will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take ownership of design packages.<\/li>\n<li>Working directly with clients and other professionals.<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordinate work with engineers of other disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>Produce project related correspondence and reports.<\/li>\n<li>Manage younger members of the team and support their development.<\/li>\n<li>Provide design calculations and support preparation and review of drawings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Does this role inspire you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of our Infrastructure team, you&#8217;ll contribute to a diverse portfolio of global projects delivering complex tunnel design within a truly multidisciplinary team to meet project requirements and produce innovative and sustainable solutions. We are shaping a better world one project at a time.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re looking for a Senior Tunnel Designer for Global Infrastructure Projects who is passionate about challenging design problems and with an interest in innovation and optimisation. We also value:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BEng in Civil Engineering or a BSc in Geological Sciences supplemented by an MSc in Engineering Geology\/Geotechnical Engineering\/Soil Mechanics or Structural Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of industry standard software for tunnelling, geotechnical and structural design.<\/li>\n<li>Previous geotechnical and tunnelling design experience experience from 5 to 10 years .<\/li>\n<li>Good experience in numerical analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Strong engineering skills and knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal).<\/li>\n<li>Publication in journals and conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in written and spoken Italian and English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why Arup?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Arup, we believe in rewarding our members for their contributions to our shared success.
