{"id":18727,"date":"2026-06-23T12:12:31","date_gmt":"2026-06-23T10:12:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=18727"},"modified":"2026-06-23T12:12:31","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T10:12:31","slug":"arup-senior-geotechnical-engineer-milano-mediolan","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/stanowisko\/arup-senior-geotechnical-engineer-milano-mediolan\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Geotechnical Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our fast-growing Infrastructure team, in our Milan Office, who will deliver local and global projects including landmark projects in Italy and major Infrastructures in Europe and UK for Italian and Global Clients and Contractors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">The variety of projects and the internal research opportunities provide a great environment where to develop technical skills and the delivery of complex megaprojects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><b><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Arup, you will:<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Guide and deliver geotechnical design packages for complex building and infrastructure projects in Italy and internationally.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, high<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u2011<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">quality engineering solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Plan and manage geotechnical investigations, including fieldwork, laboratory testing, data interpretation, and ground modelling.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Carry out advanced geotechnical and numerical analyses, producing calculations, drawings, specifications, and clear technical reports.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Coordinate work packages across multiple projects and proposals, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Support, mentor, and develop junior colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Contribute to technical excellence, digital innovation, and knowledge sharing within Arup\u2019s global geotechnical community.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><b><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Does this role inspire you?<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for global infrastructure and building projects who is passionate about challenging design problems and has a strong interest in innovation and optimisation. We also value:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">A Master\u2019s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">5-10 years\u2019 of relevant experience in geotechnical design on medium to large-scale project, or equivalent expertise gained through diverse career paths.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Strong experience in geotechnical and numerical analysis using industry<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u2011<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">standard software.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Solid engineering judgement with excellent planning, organisational, and time<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u2011<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">management skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Interest in digital engineering and BIM; experience with 3D modelling or GIS is an advantage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Fluency in Italian and English.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><b><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Why Arup?<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>At Arup, we believe in rewarding our members for their contributions to our shared success.
