As a Senior Highways Engineer, you\u2019ll be at the forefront of delivering technical excellence, innovation, and safety across a wide range of transportation projects. You\u2019ll take ownership of key design deliverables, identifying opportunities for automation and process efficiencies, and ensuring scope changes are escalated appropriately to maintain programme and budget integrity.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll collaborate closely with discipline leads and project stakeholders to produce high-quality outcomes, while also mentoring and supporting less experienced team members\u2014helping to build capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement.<\/p>\n

Jacobs is a recognised leader in the transportation sector, partnering with major clients such as National Highways, Transport Scotland, the Welsh Government, and global contractors. Internationally, we contribute to transformative mega-projects like NEOM The Line and King Khalid International Airport.     • Design experience in transportation and the built environment<\/li>\n
    • Attained a relevant professional qualification, for example a degree in engineering, and CEng\/ IEng or equivalent qualifications or work experience.<\/li>\n
    • Technical experience of delivering local and\/or major highways projects or the land side alignment elements in adjacent markets such as Water Aviation or rail<\/li>\n
    • Thorough understanding of commonly used design standards such as Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW) or international equivalents.<\/li>\n
    • Sound knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and a passion for fostering safety and wellbeing.<\/li>\n
