You will be responsible for managing key company accounts, conduct sales, business development, client maintenance and support; all in accordance with company procedures, H&amp;S systems and the company\u2018s quality system. The role will require travel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you\u2019ll be doing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Maintain close contact with key clients to answer enquiries and develop service offerings.<\/li>\n<li>Continually progress key client requirements efficiently (within BD, commercial and operations).<\/li>\n<li>Ensure KPIs are set and achieved in line with company and client expectations (including, but not limited to, invoicing timescales etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with senior management, i.e., MD, FD, Directors and Regional Managers to develop long term strategic relationships with clients, suppliers and business partners (i.e., other Clarksons PLC business units, sub-agents etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Identify new leads and assist the BD team in assigning targets for development.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the BD team in developing the pipeline of new business coming into the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the company\u2019s service offering and the marketplace (for which there would be training).<\/li>\n<li>Support the generation, submission and follow-up of quotations and tender responses.<\/li>\n<li>As required, represent the company at trade shows, conferences and similar events to create business opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Regular travel, domestically and overseas (as necessary), to visit clients, suppliers and business partners.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with senior management to collaborate with suppliers and business partners to ensure successful outcomes \u2013 ensuring the company\u2019s supply chain is robust and strategically capable of handling all client requirements efficiently and cost effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with other business units across the company to identify opportunities to sell Gibb services to group contacts.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with operations staff to ensure the highest levels of service are delivered, in line with both client and company expectations.<\/li>\n<li>From time-to-time, work within operations to ensure the successful conversion of lead\/target\/client requirements to a satisfactory conclusion, while at all times delivering the highest levels of service.<\/li>\n<li>Ad hoc \/ additional duties as required in order to meet the needs of the business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we\u2019re looking for<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We invite applications from candidates who can demonstrate:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Drive<\/strong>\u00a0and self-motivation, with the desire and commitment to succeed, deliver excellence and make positive change;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Relationship building<\/strong>,\u00a0with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build rapport;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Collaboration<\/strong>, able to work well with others across diverse backgrounds to share information, develop skills, and deliver results;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Resilience<\/strong>\u00a0with the ability to persist and adapt;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Smart<\/strong>\u00a0problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a curious and inquisitive mind, and an openness to new ideas;<\/li>\n<li>Professional integrity and a respect for company values.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Solid, proven sales\/BD background, preferably B2B sales experience.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, able to effectively liaise with people at all levels and build strong relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Client oriented, and able to tailor approach.<\/li>\n<li>Organised and self-motivated, able to multi-task and prioritise to meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Positive and enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work calmly under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Good problem-solving skills, and able to use initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and proactive approach to work.<\/li>\n<li>Strong IT skills, with intermediate excel skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Role Summary We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our UK division.
