The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop in a company committed to developing talent and rewarding performance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Lead Mechanical Engineer \u2013 Data Centre Project<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: Fredericia, Denmark<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is not a role for someone who wants to hide behind procedures or wait for instructions.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to take full ownership of mechanical engineering and commissioning delivery on a major data centre project in Milan. This role sits right at the centre of the project \u2014 technically, operationally and commercially.<\/p>\n<p>If you enjoy complexity, accountability and leading engineers in an environment where mistakes are expensive and success is visible, you\u2019ll feel at home here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for planning, managing and coordinating all mechanical engineering and commissioning activities on the project.<\/p>\n<p>You lead the mechanical engineering function end to end \u2014 design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover \u2014 while mentoring engineers and maintaining standards under pressure.<\/p>\n<p>This is a hands\u2011on leadership role. You are expected to make decisions, solve problems and keep things moving.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Be Doing You will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take full responsibility for mechanical engineering delivery on the project<\/li>\n<li>Lead and manage the mechanical project engineering team, assigning engineers to work packages<\/li>\n<li>Own the design management process, either directly or through appointed leads<\/li>\n<li>Own the commissioning process, ensuring systems are buildable, testable and ready when required<\/li>\n<li>Drive EHS compliance, promoting safe systems of work and leading by example on site<\/li>\n<li>Oversee procurement from a technical perspective, including RFQs, technical evaluations, equipment selection and delivery tracking<\/li>\n<li>Control quality from design through installation and commissioning, including ITPs, test packs, FATs, SATs, walkdowns and system handover<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate closely with Electrical and CSA counterparts to ensure clear system boundaries and responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Manage system trackers, technical submittals, RFIs, deviations and change from a technical standpoint<\/li>\n<li>Lead commissioning activities, flushing, balancing, pressure testing and certification<\/li>\n<li>Identify risks early, own mitigation plans and escalate when required<\/li>\n<li>Engage in programme development, commissioning sequencing and look\u2011ahead planning<\/li>\n<li>Support business development through strong client, designer and contractor relationships<\/li>\n<li>Mentor project and graduate engineers, building capability across the team<\/li>\n<li>Provide clear, structured reporting to senior engineering and business leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In short, you make sure the mechanical scope works \u2014 technically, safely and commercially.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a large\u2011scale, mission\u2011critical data centre build in Milan.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s fast, complex and highly coordinated. The client expects certainty, not excuses.
