The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop in a company committed to developing talent and rewarding performance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>ROLE PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Provide overall advice and direction to managers and employees on the EHS programmes and processes in all Kirby business activities in order to comply with regulatory, Kirby and customer requirements. They will also manage specific EHS projects as required by the business, assist with tendering processes, provide training, and lead a dedicated team of EHS Advisors within the division. This role may require travel between projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY FUNCTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide EHS leadership and coordination within the division, to direct training matters, competency requirements both internal and external in order to comply with statutory and other requirements and also to improve project leaders\u2019 abilities and understanding of the EHSMS.<\/li>\n<li>Be proactive in all matters concerning the role.<\/li>\n<li>Report on business EHS risks, KPIs and trends accurately with data and recommend constructive actions towards continuous improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate all EHS Matters within the Division and report constructively all EHS matters to the Business Unit Manager and EHS Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Audit and inspect projects and the EHS Management system in the division to verify its implementation. Agree and prepare achievable corrective and preventive action plans towards continual improvement of the EHSMS.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure incident investigations are carried out in a thorough and professional manner in order to identify root causes and corrective and preventive action plans.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that Site Plans, RAMS and other associated site documents are updated and compliant with statutory and other requirements and that they are reviewed on a continuous basis.<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice, guidance, instruction and training in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including where applicable to sub-contractors, suppliers and visitors to sites).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KEY TASKS, ACTIVITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reports to the Regional EHS Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Is conversant with the contents of the company safety statement, environment manual, risk assessments, aspects &amp; impacts, legislation and Kirby procedures. Identifies, reviews and assesses improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Provides advice, guidance, instruction and training in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including where applicable to sub-contractors, suppliers and visitors to sites).<\/li>\n<li>Assists with hiring and mentors existing &amp; new EHS Team members, focusing on improvements, onboarding and retention.<\/li>\n<li>Arranges for the implementation of the EHS management system for all regional office, new and existing projects.<\/li>\n<li>Attends and\/or facilitates EHS attendance at Handover meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews project S Curves, risks and coordinates risk reduction with the PM.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews Monthly KPI Report for projects, Business Unit Reports, EHS Advisor Site Visit Schedules, SEORs, KPIs, Discipline &amp; Commendation, Site Inspection Reports complaints, incident actions, requests for information and recommends actions.<\/li>\n<li>Carries out internal audits and periodic site inspections in conjunction with Operation Managers, PMs, Site Management, EHS Advisor &amp; Client \/ MC, as required and recommends commendations, corrective actions and improvements and document findings.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that all incidents and dangerous occurrences are reported to the Kirby EHS Manager, Business Unit Manager and Project Manager, as required, without delay.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures appropriate incident investigation is carried out in conjunction with site management.<\/li>\n<li>Liaises with and develops positive relationships with Statutory Authority, Main Contractor, Clients and Supply Chain.<\/li>\n<li>Identifies, co-ordinates and provides training as required.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that project meetings and co-ordination meetings are carried out on projects with EHS on the agenda.<\/li>\n<li>Advises the client, Main Contractor, or others who may be affected of safety hazards on sites under their control affecting Kirby<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Supply Chain are appointed correctly for projects, their performance is assessed, recommends commendation, corrective actions and improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Issues Non-conformances, commendations and disciplinary notices both written and verbal if required or instructed to do so.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Permanent position available with a considerable portfolio of works for the next 5+ years To build your career by assisting in the delivery of \u2018leading edge\u2019 engineering projects.
