The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop in a company committed to developing talent and rewarding performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Electrical Quantity Surveyor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re an Electrical Quantity Surveyor who enjoys being involved from day one and still standing at the finish line, this role will suit you. You\u2019ll take ownership of projects from tender through to final account, and you\u2019ll have the commercial influence to actually make a dent in profitability \u2014 not just report on it afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t a role where you sit in the background issuing spreadsheets into the void. You\u2019ll be partnering closely with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and clients, making sure the commercial heartbeat of each project stays healthy and predictable (or at least explainable).<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you\u2019ll be doing (the short version):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Building and managing BOQs, budgets, reports and profit plans without needing someone hovering over you.<\/li>\n<li>Running interim commercial meetings with clients and internal teams \u2014 and being the person who knows exactly where the project stands commercially.<\/li>\n<li>Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts, ensuring payments follow agreed terms and retentions don\u2019t fall through the cracks.<\/li>\n<li>Issuing accurate monthly applications, including remeasures, dayworks, changes and any contract claims worth fighting for.<\/li>\n<li>Spotting commercial risks early, raising them quickly and helping to keep surprises to a minimum.<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with Planning Engineers to keep progress reporting aligned with reality rather than optimism.<\/li>\n<li>Costing and agreeing daily work changes, including remeasurement of subcontractor work and site variations.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping meticulous records \u2014 because commercial claims don\u2019t win themselves.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiating with clients or their representatives when needed.<\/li>\n<li>Setting a standard of enthusiasm, accuracy and reliability that others can follow.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping information secure and complying with the company\u2019s Information Security Management System.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Who you probably are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Someone who combines accuracy with speed \u2014 not one or the other.<\/li>\n<li>Someone who can prioritise their own workload without waiting to be told what\u2019s urgent.<\/li>\n<li>Someone who knows the commercial implications of scheduling decisions and isn\u2019t shy about saying so.<\/li>\n<li>Someone who understands that good communication prevents expensive misunderstandings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Permanent position available with a considerable portfolio of works for the next 5+ years To build your career by assisting in the delivery of \u2018leading edge\u2019 engineering projects.
