Dublin or Cork"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>We now seek a fully experienced Technical Director to be based in our Dublin or Cork office.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Takes Team Management and leadership development role in the development of the technology electrical team in Ireland.<\/li>\n<li>Takes Team Management and leadership role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services. \u00a0Assists the Directors with Business strategy and management.<\/li>\n<li>Carries out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibility studies and preparation of project fee proposals.<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with clients and project team to establish project requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews status advised by project personnel and external parties and modifies schedules or plans as required. \u00a0Prepares project reports for Management, Client or others.<\/li>\n<li>Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Surveys tests and reports on existing electrical\/mechanical installations.<\/li>\n<li>Fiscal and commercial management of projects to ensure they return the target margin.<\/li>\n<li>Leadership and hands on delivery of monitoring of construction and installation on projects.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with existing clients to establish long term relationships and future upcoming projects.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with future client prospects and general business development.<\/li>\n<li>Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams.<\/li>\n<li>Carries out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards.<\/li>\n<li>Hands on involvement in local office management in conjunction with other members of the senior management team.<\/li>\n<li>Support clients in tender and procurement of MEP contractors and MEP equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Leads on the coordination of engineering services, together with hands on delivery of concept and details designs.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures risk and performance monitoring analysis takes place through effective systems of internal control and delegation.<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring and development of younger members of the engineering team.<\/li>\n<li>Production of technical white papers to promote the technical capabilities of RED.<\/li>\n<li>Hands on involvement in the sector management team in conjunction with other members of the team.<\/li>\n<li>Surveys and due diligence reports of existing data centres.<\/li>\n<li>Presenting technical papers at industry events where the opportunity arises.<\/li>\n<li>Takes a holistic view in the selection and application of engineering concepts and solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Role Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc\/BEng in appropriate engineering discipline\/BEng General Building Services or have sufficient equivalent experience.<\/li>\n<li>MCIBSE\/MIEE + appropriate experience or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Chartered Eng status.<\/li>\n<li>Significant experience of specification design for a range of building types.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of having managed projects abroad (desirable).<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge &amp; working application of key health and safety issues and legislation.<\/li>\n<li>Appreciation &amp; working knowledge of contract &amp; business law.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of MS office applications word, excel etc.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use it based calculation and spreadsheet software.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of bs standards\/ Irish regulations\/codes.<\/li>\n<li>Experience and understanding of invoicing and credit control.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritise own workload.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work to deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Leadership &amp;
