You will be responsible for leading the electrical design response to site\u2011specific requirements and constraints, ensuring alignment with the generic SMR design while identifying, assessing and controlling any required design changes.<\/p>\n<p>The UK\u2011focused role will particularly benefit from experience of UK nuclear regulation, site licensing and grid code compliance. The Czech\u2011focused role will particularly benefit from knowledge of Czech nuclear regulatory practices and licensing requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will apply structured systems engineering principles to ensure robust design integration, traceability and compliance across the site\u2011specific design lifecycle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We\u2019ll Need You To:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead electrical engineering delivery for site\u2011specific SMR design variants<\/li>\n<li>Maintain alignment between site\u2011specific designs and the generic design baseline<\/li>\n<li>Assess site\u2011specific requirements, assumptions, constraints and interfaces<\/li>\n<li>Translate plant, operational, safety and site requirements into electrical system specifications<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical leadership across system owners, component owners and interfacing disciplines<\/li>\n<li>Ensure site\u2011specific electrical designs remain compliant with applicable requirements and standards<\/li>\n<li>Support systems engineering activities including requirements management, interfaces, assumptions and traceability<\/li>\n<li>Define and support verification and validation activities for site\u2011specific electrical requirements<\/li>\n<li>Support design reviews, technical assurance and configuration control activities<\/li>\n<li>Act as an intelligent customer for partner and supply chain electrical design activities<\/li>\n<li>Provide design evidence to support safety case, licensing and regulatory activities<\/li>\n<li>Support procurement, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance activities where affected by site\u2011specific design decisions<\/li>\n<li>Coach and mentor engineers across the Electrical Systems team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Skills Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We know there\u2019s no such thing as the \u2018perfect\u2019 candidate. If you meet around 75% of the criteria below, we\u2019d love to hear from you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong experience across the electrical systems lifecycle, including specification, design, assessment, verification, testing, installation, commissioning and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Experience working on complex electrical systems within highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Automotive or Oil &amp; Gas<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of electrical system architecture, protection systems, earthing, electrical distribution, generation systems and batteries<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Requirements management<\/li>\n<li>Interface management<\/li>\n<li>Configuration control<\/li>\n<li>Verification and validation<\/li>\n<li>Design traceability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing design changes and assessing impacts across engineering disciplines<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and codes<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering activities and influencing technical decisions<\/li>\n<li>Experience acting as an intelligent customer for supplier and partner deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Ability to mentor and develop engineers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience with international nuclear projects, grid integration, site licensing or regulatory engagement activities would be advantageous.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree\u2011qualified in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Candidates with equivalent knowledge and experience will also be considered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hybrid working with one of the following as your primary site:<\/p>\n<p>Derby, Manchester or Warrington.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary and Package:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The salary band for this role will be between <b>\u00a360,000 \u2013 \u00a378,750<\/b> dependent on the skills, values and knowledge you bring.
