This forms a crucial part of our strategy to offer delivery certainty through the use of modern engineering tools and techniques \u2014 including analysis and rig testing \u2014 to substantiate the design before construction begins.<\/p>\n<p>You will take ownership of complex, safety-critical or business-critical areas of the power station aligned to your expertise. Your initial responsibility will be to develop comprehensive verification strategies that define the activities and evidence required to demonstrate compliance. Throughout the verification lifecycle, you will work closely with design leads and technical specialists to execute these strategies and confirm compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside technical leadership, you will mentor other V&amp;V Engineers, support capability development and complete rigorous technical reviews to ensure quality and consistency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There are multiple roles to fill within the team &amp; we are particularly interested in speaking with people from one or more the following backgrounds:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electrical power systems and high voltage networks\u2013 further experience in C&amp;I is desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Equipment Qualification (EQ) on\u00a0a previous\u00a0nuclear project, or qualification of components in a safety critical environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Nuclear or other highly regulated industrial experience is desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We\u2019ll\u00a0Need You To:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop verification and validation strategies within your area of responsibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Act as an intelligent customer in the V&amp;V of the plant and across the RR SMR business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the verification and validation of the safety case<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Produce reports for regulatory bodies and present\/discuss findings with regulators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Define\u00a0objectives\u00a0and requirements for verification activities (e.g. rig tests, analyses) and agree these with delivery teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Review and collect evidence of verification activities across internal teams and the supply chain<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Collate evidence and use it to assess compliance against requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage technical interfaces across functions to ensure coherent and efficient technical solutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Coach and review the work of others to elevate technical quality across the team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform detailed technical checks and provide constructive feedback to peers<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with relevant nuclear and\u00a0safety\u2011critical\u00a0standards (e.g. IEC 61508, IEC 61513, IEC 61226)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Skills Required:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We know\u00a0there\u2019s\u00a0no such thing as the \u2018perfect\u2019 candidate. If you meet around 75% of the criteria below,\u00a0we\u2019d\u00a0love to hear from you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in verification and validation of new products, ideally in a safety-critical and highly regulated industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience leading complex engineering projects; nuclear experience preferred but not essential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience\u00a0identifying,\u00a0managing\u00a0and escalating technical and programme risks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to resolve issues while ensuring quality and safety standards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong supplier and customer relationship management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to unite multi-disciplinary teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Systems-thinking mindset with experience collaborating across engineering disciplines<\/li>\n<li>Degree in an engineering discipline and recognised by a professional body or working towards this,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hybrid working with one of the following locations as your primary site: Derby, Manchester or Warrington.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary and Package:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The salary band for this will be between <b>\u00a350,650 &#8211; \u00a366,500<\/b>\u00a0dependent on the skills, values, and knowledge you bring. There may be some flexibility with the starting salary in exceptional cases, and, in due course, there is the potential for you to develop the role further.<\/p>\n<p>Benefits include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bonus &#8211;
