The role offers excellent prospects for career development and the opportunity to be involved in different and challenging range of design projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in our Building Services Engineering team, contributing to multidisciplinary projects.\u00a0You\u2019ll provide guidance to graduates and oversee the work and development of apprentices involved in your projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><b><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will:<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Lead the design and delivery of mechanical services (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, drainage, water supply, firefighting, renewable energy systems and controls) and manage key interfaces in multidisciplinary projects and teams.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Liaise with clients to assist in setting the design ambitions and with project stakeholders to develop the design and the coordination of the mechanical requirements and their impact on the project.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Provide technical guidance, mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Participate in site visits, client meetings, design reviews and project workshops, gaining valuable industry exposure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Cooperate closely with our international offices.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">We&#8217;re looking for a Dynamic and Proactive candidate that has a great interest in teamwork and in developing their career in the MEP field.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are the essential skills and qualifications for the position:<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><b><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Does this role inspire you?<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Degree from an Engineering University (Building \/Mechanical \/Energy\/ other relevant) or a relevant technical Diploma.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">8+ years of professional experience into the design and delivery of mechanical services.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Sound knowledge in mechanical engineering fundamentals including knowledge of Dutch codes and planning phases.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">We also value:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Ability to technically lead and manage the design process from conceptual layout to detailed design and construction.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Excellent knowledge of sustainability principles.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Good knowledge of CAD and\/or Building Information Modelling.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn and apply new concepts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Availability to travel within the region (Europe).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit;
