{"id":22055,"date":"2026-08-24T09:46:31","date_gmt":"2026-08-24T07:46:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=22055"},"modified":"2026-08-24T09:46:31","modified_gmt":"2026-08-24T07:46:31","slug":"collen-project-manager-wexford-irlandia","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/stanowisko\/collen-project-manager-wexford-irlandia\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Key Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A third level qualification in Construction Management<\/li>\n<li>Membership of a recognised professional body<\/li>\n<li>5 years post qualification experience in a similar role<\/li>\n<li>A proven track record in delivering complex projects safely, on time, within budget and to high quality standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting to the Contracts Manager, your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Commercial Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand the subcontractor\u2019s scope of works and commercial agreements through liaison with the project QS.<\/li>\n<li>Commercial instructions to be provided in accordance with subcontractor\u2019s contracts \u2013 liaise with project QS.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in subcontractors works package scope, definition and procurement, as directed by your line manager.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the management and cost control of direct labour, plant and material resources on the project.<\/li>\n<li>Raise material purchase orders as directed by your line manager.<\/li>\n<li>Have an outline understanding of Collen\u2019s key main contract conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the identification of variation entitlements arising out of change of scope.<\/li>\n<li>Provide works completed quantities to the project QS where required.<\/li>\n<li>Be aware of the cost of work elements and your input into controlling the costs.<\/li>\n<li>Input into value engineering solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Maximise efficient work practices for everyone on the project.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Project QS with the accounting, costing and billing to ensure the project is on budget.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Planning the Works &amp; Progress Tracking<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand the construction and contract programme and track this weekly.<\/li>\n<li>Develop one week and six week lookahead plans as well as resource planning.<\/li>\n<li>Chair daily whiteboard meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Collect project tracking data for informing progress tracking, with the involvement of the site team to assist.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining the project on schedule and look for opportunities to get ahead<\/li>\n<li>Understand the planned sequence of activities and ensure that no short cuts are taken.<\/li>\n<li>Be aware of the programme risks, opportunities and controls required.<\/li>\n<li>Record plant, labour an materials used and planned to be used.<\/li>\n<li>Be aware of planning and organising your own time efficiently each day.<\/li>\n<li>Attend and positively contribute to internal subcontractor, design and client meetings, as directed by your line manager.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and manage subcontractor work packages as directed by your line manager.<\/li>\n<li>Innovate and implement lean construction practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Team<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise, coach &amp; develop engineers, site managers, foremen and the team assigned to you.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Represent Collen professionally, in discussions with subcontractors, client\u2019s representatives, designers, statutory<\/li>\n<li>authorities, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the works are carried out in a safe manner. Observe and correct \u2013 Lead by example.<\/li>\n<li>Play your part in maintaining a High Performing Team.<\/li>\n<li>Performance \u2013 Self Reflect and Help Others.<\/li>\n<li>Continuous Improvement \u2013 Seek out ways to be better at what we do.<\/li>\n<li>Be respectful and accommodating to others.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t be afraid to ask for help &#8211; Nobody knows it all.<\/li>\n<li>Communication \u2013 Talk through daily plans and issues with your colleagues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Health &amp; Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure the Company and Project Health, Safety &amp; Environmental Management System and Procedures are being implemented.<\/li>\n<li>Read &amp; understand the project Health, Safety &amp; Environmental plan. Specific duties will be assigned to you.<\/li>\n<li>Health &amp; Safety is the priority in everything we do. Plan accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t walk by.<\/li>\n<li>If it feels wrong, it usually is wrong. Seek out help, if you are not sure. Speak Up.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cCreating Safer Sites\u201d \u2013 Understand the concept and the benefit of applying behavioural science to managing safety.<\/li>\n<li>Be responsible for your section of the project and look out for your colleagues\u2019 section of the project.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure temporary works are erected and dismantled in accordance with drawings and instructions. Refer to the project<\/li>\n<li>assigned Temporary Works Co-ordinator.<\/li>\n<li>Assess the risks &amp; implement the control measures.<\/li>\n<li>Do what you say you will do.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Quality Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that the Project and Company Quality Management System is implemented.<\/li>\n<li>Read &amp; understand the project specific quality plan.<\/li>\n<li>Fully familiarise and understand all design drawings and specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Interrogate the design &amp; identify potential problem issues. Talk through the issues with your line manager.<\/li>\n<li>Raise Request for Information (RFI\u2019s) with our designers.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all construction issued information is current and not out of date. Ensure the supply chain i.e site supervisors, trades &amp; operatives on the project are working to the correct design information.<\/li>\n<li>Provide clear verbal &amp; written communication to site supervisors, trades &amp; operatives in order to assist them in completing the daily work activities correctly.<\/li>\n<li>Quality inspections &amp; tests; Understand and complete the inspections and tests assigned to you. Be competent &amp; trustworthy in completing these. Ask your line supervisor if you are not sure of something.<\/li>\n<li>Fieldview; This is our software for recording inspections and tests; Be familiar with its operation.<\/li>\n<li>Understand and operate our information management system.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in design &amp; material submittals, for approval to the design representatives.<\/li>\n<li>Check that the quality of materials are as required in the specification &amp; approved design submittal.<\/li>\n<li>Benchmark work elements of the build \u2013 Refer to agreed BCAR &amp; Collen project specific requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Understand and operate the BCAR process, as directed by your line manager.<\/li>\n<li>Always ensure work is being completed correctly, in accordance with the design, specifications, planned methodologies and to a high standard of workmanship.<\/li>\n<li>Building Information Modelling (BIM) \u2013 Operate where required.<\/li>\n<li>Get it right first time and don\u2019t wait for others to identify the issue. Anticipate the potential problems and resolve them before they happen.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare technical reports, daily site diary and other relevant documentation.
