As an integral part of our organization, you\u2019ll play a crucial role in ensuring reliable energy delivery for our clients. From underground interconnectors to offshore wind farms, your expertise will shape the backbone of our energy infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re ready to take on exciting challenges and contribute to a sustainable energy future, we\u2019d love to hear from you!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities and duties include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HVAC\/HVDC Cable System Design: Dive into all aspects of transmission cable system design, from conceptualization to implementation for Onshore and Offshore projects<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of HV cables into substations, converter stations, and grid networks<\/li>\n<li>Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for transmission cable system projects<\/li>\n<li>Front End Engineering Design (FEED): Be the visionary. Deliver innovative solutions for cable systems integration into major infrastructural development projects<\/li>\n<li>Consenting Stage Cable System design. Leading the interface with our civil and environmental teams to plan the delivery of transmission cable systems in line with consenting requirements<\/li>\n<li>Tender Stage Design\/Detail Design for Transmission cable systems, developing concept stage design through to construction detail level<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and resolve transmission cable-related issues during installation and operation\/maintenance phases<\/li>\n<li>Stay abreast of technological advancements in HV cable materials, insulation, and transmission technologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Candidate Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Experienced transmission cable systems engineer<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills and able to solve complex engineering problems relating to transmission power cable systems<\/li>\n<li>A willingness to engage with new challenges as well as an ability to work confidently on tasks for which you have prior experience<\/li>\n<li>Ability to demonstrate good written communication skills including report writing<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and people skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Masters in Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Experience in design of both onshore and offshore transmission cable systems<\/li>\n<li>Experience in design of HV cable transmission systems for UK and Ireland utilities<\/li>\n<li>Experience in design of HVAC and HVDC transmission cable systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If this resonates, let\u2019s explore how your expertise fits our team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UK Immigration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mott MacDonald Ltd. are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK.
