We add value with our people, client service ethos, global delivery strategy, technical ability, and attitude.<\/p>\n<p>We now seek a Principal Power Systems Engineer to be based out of our London,Bicester or Newcastle office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a Principal Power Engineer at RED Engineering, you will play a crucial role in the design and optimization of power systems within the data centre\u00a0industry. Your primary responsibilities will include running computer simulations,\u00a0supporting\u00a0design teams,\u00a0and\u00a0ensuring\u00a0the\u00a0reliability\u00a0and\u00a0efficiency\u00a0of\u00a0power\u00a0distribution\u00a0systems.\u00a0We\u00a0are particularly interested in candidates with\u00a0expertise\u00a0in ETAP, although experience with\u00a0DigSilent\u00a0or SKM will also be considered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key\u00a0Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Simulation\u00a0Expertise:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct\u00a0load\u00a0flow\u00a0analysis\u00a0to\u00a0ensure\u00a0optimal\u00a0power\u00a0distribution\u00a0within\u00a0data\u00a0centre\u00a0facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform\u00a0short\u00a0circuit\u00a0analysis\u00a0to\u00a0assess\u00a0the\u00a0integrity\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0power\u00a0system under fault conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate\u00a0protection\u00a0systems\u00a0to\u00a0enhance\u00a0the\u00a0reliability\u00a0and\u00a0safety\u00a0of\u00a0the power distribution to the resilience of the power systems under dynamic and reports for Power Systems team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Role Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s\u00a0or\u00a0Master&#8217;s\u00a0degree\u00a0in\u00a0Power\u00a0Engineering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven\u00a0experience\u00a0in\u00a0power\u00a0systems\u00a0engineering,\u00a0preferably\u00a0within\u00a0the\u00a0data\u00a0centre\u00a0industry<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency\u00a0in\u00a0simulation\u00a0software,\u00a0particularly\u00a0ETAP\u00a0(preferred),\u00a0DigSilent,\u00a0or\u00a0SKM.<\/li>\n<li>Experience\u00a0with\u00a0Load\u00a0Flow,\u00a0Short\u00a0Circuit\u00a0Analysis,\u00a0Protection\u00a0Coordination, Arc Flash, Harmonic Studies, and Underground Cable Sizing.<\/li>\n<li>Experience\u00a0in\u00a0performing\u00a0Transient\u00a0Stability\u00a0Studies\u00a0is\u00a0desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Experience\u00a0in\u00a0performing\u00a0Earthing\u00a0Studies\u00a0is\u00a0desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a deep understanding of the models of main electrical
