As part of Siemens, a global technology leader driving innovation in electrification, automation and digitalisation, we combine the agility of a specialist electrical manufacturer with the strength, investment and vision of a world-renowned organisation.<\/p>\n<p>We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sustainable growth by developing relationships with key influencers across the contractor and specification community, securing project specifications and creating long-term demand for our market-leading products.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>As a Business Development Manager, you will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify, target and develop relationships with key consultants and specifiers within your territory.<\/li>\n<li>Influence project designs and secure product specifications to position Wylex and Crabtree as the preferred solution.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified project opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with Account Managers to ensure the successful handover and conversion of project opportunities through wholesale channels.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and manage project progress, maintaining regular engagement with key stakeholders to protect specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, project progress and market intelligence to support forecasting and business planning.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver annual specification value targets and contribute to business growth objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Increase the penetration of Wylex and Crabtree products within targeted contractor and specifier accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a brand ambassador, promoting Electrium&#8217;s solutions and strengthening our position within the electrical industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What We&#8217;re Looking For<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience selling into non-transactional customers and influencing buying decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Commercial awareness with excellent negotiation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong product and market awareness, with the ability to understand customer operating environments and identify suitable solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build, manage and convert a pipeline of project opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.<\/li>\n<li>A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and deliver against targets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working within the electrical installation, specification or building products market.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working collaboratively across sales, account management and wider business functions.<\/li>\n<li>A growth mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Team-oriented approach with a professional, customer-focused attitude.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What can we offer?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Performance-Based Bonus<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Pension Plan:<\/strong> Secure your future with our generous pension scheme, with employer contributions up to 10%.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Time Off:<\/strong> Recharge and rejuvenate with 26 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), and the option to buy or sell an additional 5 days!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Electrium is one of the UK&#8217;s leading manufacturers of electrical installation products, proudly home to trusted brands including Wylex and Crabtree.
