Our teams support the delivery of major rail and infrastructure programmes across the UK, partnering with organisations such as HS2, Network Rail, Transport for London, ScotRail and Transport for Wales. From large-scale enhancements to landmark transport schemes, you&#8217;ll help shape the future of sustainable mobility while developing your career with a global industry leader.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">We&#8217;re hiring across Glasgow, Ireland, Manchester, York, Derby, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Birmingham, Chippenham, London and Croydon, supporting technologies including signalling, electrification, telecoms, SCADA, digital railway and traffic management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Join Siemens Mobility&#8217;s Rail Infrastructure business and help deliver some of the UK&#8217;s most exciting transport projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">You\u2018ll make a difference by \u2026<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Being responsible for project and work package change control and management<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Presenting periodic project commercial performance<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Providing key commercial interface for responsible work package manager<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Providing contractual &amp; commercial support to Project Managers and Engineering<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Responsible for work package cost management, including forecasting, budget management and control<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Monitor and actively manage and mitigate work package risks<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Provides input to internal and external commercial reports as required by Commercial Delivery Strategy<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Ensure processes and contract administration complies with the appropriate Company standards<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Establish and maintain leadership interfaces with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, project management, engineering, and finance teams<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Responsible for maintaining auditable records for responsible work packages in accordance with contractual requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Your role profile may vary from time to time in accordance with business needs. Your annual objective setting with your line manager will outline any additional responsibilities required to meet business or individual development needs for the forthcoming financial year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">What you\u2019ll need to succeed&#8230;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Experience gained within rail, engineering, defence, construction, IT or a similar project-based industry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Experience working on complex, multidisciplinary projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Opportunity to work towards or holding a professional membership such as RICS, CICES.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Experience collaboratively managing multiple stakeholders across project delivery teams.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Must Haves:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Previous Quantity Surveyor\/Senior Quantity Surveyor experience within a contractor-side project environment, with a proven track record of successful commercial delivery.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Degree qualified (or equivalent higher education) in a relevant discipline and\/or working towards or holding a professional qualification such as RICS, CICES, or similar.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing both internal and external resources such as direct labour and subcontract costs, forecasting costs, measuring completed work, and estimating\/managing change and variations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Experience developing and implementing commercial strategies, alongside identifying and proactively managing commercial risks and opportunities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to report commercial performance to internal and external stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Ability to work independently, build collaborative relationships, manage expectations, prioritise workloads effectively, and thrive in high-performing environments while promoting Siemens&#8217; high standards and reputation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites across the region.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Desire to be a key role in a high performing team.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have multiple opportunities for Commercial Managers to join us at Siemens Mobility UKI, our teams support projects in major cities, regional networks and emerging transport programmes nationwide.
