We are flexible on location for this role, preferred locations would include; Ashby De-La-Zouch and the Midlands with travel to Ireland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Your role of Senior Project Manager will be to lead the delivery of specified projects for Telecoms, Networks, SCADA and SISS for Mainline, Light Rail and Mass Transit railways within the Delivery Organisation. This will involve the management of all project Application Engineering, Installation, Testing and Commissioning activity and delivery of all systems designed to meet the needs of the contract, on time and within budget.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">In addition, a key part of the role will be to lead the business unit mobilisation and alignment to the broader RI readiness in Ireland. Travel to client and supplier meetings will be required, with the intent to recruit locally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">You\u2019ll make a difference by..<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Providing safe delivery of the portfolio, to the \u2018as sold\u2019 specification meeting the specific project objectives within agreed timescales and budget delivering the maximum margin, whilst ensuring that the Business Management System is applied throughout the project lifecycle<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Being recognised as a Safety Leader in the Portfolio<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Ensuring that effective Safety and Environmental management of the projects has been implemented and is being maintained; ensuring that each of the project delivery functions has systems in place to cover its safety requirements. The SPM shall ensure that regular audits are undertaken to ensure that the systems are in use and are effective<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with the Client throughout specific project lifecycles<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Monitoring progress against specific project programme and budget, identifying and mitigating diverse trends through effective corrective management action<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Ensuring the implementation of the Change Management Process and the approval of any changes to scope, base lined programmes and budgets is being maintained by project managers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Seeking continuous improvement with all portfolio projects and proactively sponsor initiatives to improve the way in which the projects are delivered<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">What you\u2019ll need to succeed..<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Extensive project management and business management experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Management of high value capital investment projects involving a high degree of Client interface, within the Rail Signalling industry<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Delivery of project or portfolios through the full project life cycle<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Management and integration of multidisciplinary project teams<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Management of Project Control function covering Planning, Estimating, Financial Control and commercial management disciplines<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Management of company compliance with local Health and Safety statutory obligations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Ability to maintain margin in a competitive customer environment<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Ability to anticipate problems and to take mitigating actions in advance of the problem being realised<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Financial Control: Experience of managing expenditure and control of budgets within a project environment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Benefits<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">At Siemens, we believe that work should work for you.
