In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction activities from planning through to installation, commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, cost and performance while building strong relationships with customers, contractors and project stakeholders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">This role is classified as safety critical and is subject to a pre-employment medical assessment, which must be successfully completed prior to start.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">You will make a difference by\u2026<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Leading the delivery of construction and installation activities, managing project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve safety, quality, programme and cost objectives.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Driving effective project controls, including planning, budgeting, reporting, risk management, change control and resource utilisation throughout the project lifecycle.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Building strong relationships with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for site construction and interface matters.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Championing a positive safety and environmental culture, ensuring compliance with company procedures, industry standards and all health, safety and environmental requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Monitoring supplier and subcontractor performance, conducting audits and inspections, and ensuring all site works, equipment and documentation meet contractual and quality requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Overseeing site progress through to successful completion and handover, providing leadership, performance management and clear communication across the construction team.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Your role profile may vary from time to time in accordance with business needs. Your annual objective setting with your line manager will outline any additional responsibilities required to meet business or individual development needs for the forthcoming financial year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">What you\u2019ll need to succeed\u2026<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Proven experience managing construction, installation or infrastructure projects within the rail, signalling, civil engineering or a related engineering environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Strong understanding of project and contract management principles, including planning, budgeting, risk management, change control and stakeholder management.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across customers, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Demonstrable commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence, with experience fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring regulatory and procedural compliance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Installation Manager IRSE licence, or significant signalling and\/or civil engineering construction experience with equivalent technical competence.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Degree-qualified in an engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Benefits<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">At Siemens Mobility, we believe that work should work for you.
