We are looking for a Controls\/SCADA Engineer who will be based in one of our offices in Germany on a hybrid model.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive the\u00a0Project team on realization of the Project specific requirements with existing functionalities: Controls, Application modes, Grid\u00a0integration\u00a0as well as\u00a0all related and relevant systems and processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive the\u00a0integration of\u00a0the\u00a0Fluence BESS control system into\u00a0the\u00a0Transmission System Operator (TSO) EMS systems:\u00a0development of logic and control schemes for remote and local operation of the BESS to meet TSO requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with field engineers\u00a0to find\u00a0solutions to problems as they arise during commissioning\/testing of a system, in all controls-related subjects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Support\u00a0the product development engineering of utility scale energy storage solutions, including\u00a0the development, implementation and testing of controls applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop standardized test procedures\u00a0and execute tests\u00a0(FAT \/ SAT)\u00a0to reduce commissioning time, and perform testing, including involvement in hands on lab testing during evaluations of prototype systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive\u00a0interface to Client and sub-contractor to support\u00a0Controls\u00a0compliance and drive concept during Tender and Project Execution phase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain documentation of existing\u00a0Controls\u00a0infrastructure including hardware, applications, protocols, communication links and system backup and recovery strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep current with all Company products, developments, and projects as they apply to the\u00a0Controls\u00a0network at both site and enterprise levels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain strict management of change control procedures and documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Remain current on industry best practices and updated technology to ensure the company is provided world-class\u00a0Controls\u00a0services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Support company strategy and provide relevant reporting and updates to Company leadership as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and recommend performance management and feedback to current\u00a0Controls\u00a0technical support KPI\u2019s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Executing\u00a0tasks\u00a0related to\u00a0Fluence\u2019 safety KPIs<\/li>\n<li>Travel throughout EMEA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications and Experiences <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s\u00a0\/\u00a0Master\u2019s degree\u00a0in\u00a0computer \/\u00a0industrial engineering with focus on automation and controls (or equivalent).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of\u00a02\u00a0years of relevant\u00a0Controls\/Software\/programming\u00a0experience\u00a0with a power utility or related industry and\u00a0the\u00a0design, operation and maintenance\u00a0of a power plant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive knowledge\u00a0in the\u00a0electricity transmission\/distribution sector\u00a0and\u00a0EMS systems: Grid code and requirements analysis, development and testing of algorithms for\u00a0Grid services\u00a0applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive knowledge\u00a0in\u00a0SCADA protocols: IEC60870-5-101\/103\/104, IEC\u00a061850\u00a0MMS, DNP3, Modbus &amp; TCP\/IP,\u00a0\u00a0PLC, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), SEL Real Time Automation Controller (RTAC),\u00a0SEL Relays &amp; Meters, Siemens Relays &amp; Meters &amp; SCADA Gateways &amp; Data Concentrators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in Linux based systems and commands. High-level programming languages such as Python and shell\/bash scripting. Experience with Github.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in MathWorks Simulink for model-based systems engineering, C\/C++.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience\u00a0on\u00a0the design, operation and maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment including but not limited to inverters, transformers, I\/O racks, telecommunications, and controllers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Solution-orientated\u00a0mindset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Good communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluency in\u00a0English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>German \/\u00a0other\u00a0language skills\u00a0desired<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About Fluence Our mission is to create a more sustainable future by transforming the way we power our world.
