Our Graduate Programme ensures that graduates get exposure to all facets of the mechanical engineering role within a live construction setting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your day to day will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assisting with the preparation of reports and front-end studies including capital cost estimates, project schedules, material take off&#8217;s and out to tender schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue and analysing returned tenders.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and update the delivery schedule to control deliveries<\/li>\n<li>Seek to clarify queries with the Design team through the request for information (RFI) system<\/li>\n<li>Prepare programs using MS project.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.<\/li>\n<li>Produce look ahead programs to assist production.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare method statements and risk assessments (with construction team) for production activities<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a register of contract variations.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare test packs for recording the completion of systems.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out Quality Control through inspections and snagging<\/li>\n<li>Carry out document control, recording &amp; transmitting information<\/li>\n<li>Assisting projects with financial control of contracts during construction stage.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise and co-ordinate with client&#8217;s other members of the design team and contractors on technical issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we are looking for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working towards a Mechanical or Building Services Degree (Level 8).<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0What happens next:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your application will be reviewed, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview in November and December of 2026.<\/li>\n<li>Offers will be issued in January and February of 2027, and following this you will be assigned to your business unit and mentor.<\/li>\n<li>You will commence with Dornan from June 2027.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are now inviting applications for our Mechanical Engineering Graduate Programme 2027.
