Your responsibilities will include developing conceptual designs and supporting asset owners in enhancing operational efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>COWI Renewables and Green Fuels, which we are part of, has offices in Lyngby and Aarhus in Denmark and in Poland in Bielsko-Biala, Krakow, Wroclaw, Warsaw and Gdansk.<\/p>\n<p>We provide consultancy to our customers on the planning, designing, and optimizing of district energy systems all around the world.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Your main duties and responsibilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Taking a position in the design of groundbreaking low carbon district heating (and cooling) projects.<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking design tasks, including feasibility studies, heat network zoning, hydraulic and energy modelling, as well as creating technical designs and specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in the development of peers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical expertise.<\/li>\n<li>Actively engaging with the team and establishing yourself as a dependable and trustworthy member.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out modelling district heating and cooling systems with specialized software.<\/li>\n<li>Develop plans and strategies in collaboration with clients and provide consultancy to run daily operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Your Skills. Work across borders and disciplines, share knowledge and build positive relationships.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>On top of that, you have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree in thermal engineering, environmental engineering, mechanics or applied physics along with 6 or more years of experience in the district energy sector.<\/li>\n<li>Broad engineering knowledge in conceptual designing of low carbon district heating (and cooling) systems, encompassing heat generation and storage, distribution, and building connections, throughout the various design phases.<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in conducting techno-economic modelling of district heating (and cooling) systems.<\/li>\n<li>Technical proficiency in hydraulic simulation and energy planning tools such as Termis, Leanheat, EnergyPro, Gradyent, Fluidit NetSim, etc will be an additional advantage<\/li>\n<li>Excel proficiency: to be able to develop and improve in-house calculation models<\/li>\n<li>Some experience with GIS, SCADA, billing systems databases e.g. MS SQL, Oracle is good to have.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in the English language, both written and verbal (B2\/C1).<\/li>\n<li>Ability to solve complex problems.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to undertake short business trips abroad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>A place to work and so much more<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At COWI, we work together with our customers to shape a sustainable and liveable world.
