Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to continued expansion in Jones Engineering we require a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join the delivery team. The projects involve a wide range of clients in sectors such as Data Centres, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Commercial.\u00a0 This role offers experience of varied project work across different sectors and exposure to a diverse range of construction contracts.<\/p>\n

\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

To provide support to Construction Team and Senior Quantity Surveyor on all Quantity Surveying functions including, but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Working directly with Contract Managers to advise on Commercial status of projects.<\/li>\n
  • Assisting in the review of all project contracts<\/li>\n
  • Assist the Senior QS with the preparation of Commercial Reports.<\/li>\n
  • Negotiation with contractors across all projects including preparation of variations.<\/li>\n
  • Manage major subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations and final account.<\/li>\n
  • Assist the Senior QS with monthly progress applications.<\/li>\n
  • All other duties associated with this role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Skills\/ Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Relevant third level qualifications are an advantage but not essential.<\/li>\n
    • Previous experience in a similar role.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.<\/li>\n
    • Excellent IT Skills.<\/li>\n
    • Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.<\/li>\n
