Job Description\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical installation quality for a large value, high-tech facility. This will include equipment & material receipt inspections, fabrication inspections, weld inspections, installation inspections, generation of punchlists and de-snagging. The successful candidate will be required to liaise with in-house mechanical & electrical teams and external project partners including vendors and subcontractors.<\/p>\n

Skills and Requirements\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Academic and\/or trades qualifications in mechanical discipline<\/li>\n
  • 10 years Mech\u202fQAQC\u202fexperience in Industrial-type projects with minimum 5 years exp in Lead role<\/li>\n
  • Role will be Client facing so good communication skills and presentation is essential. Ability to present specification requirements and demonstrate compliance is essential.<\/li>\n
  • Data centre experience preferable but not essential<\/li>\n
  • Knowledge and experience of piping and HVAC system required<\/li>\n
  • Weld inspection qualifications required. Familiarity with EN standards required.<\/li>\n
  • Role will comprise\u202fQAQC\u202fwalkdown, inspection and documentation associated with Equipment; Piping systems (carbon steel); HVAC ducting systems; Plumbing & drainage systems; Preparation of test packs; witnessing of pressure testing; Maintaining and presenting weld information & records; Weekly reporting on\u202fQAQC\u202fperformance; troubleshooting; preparation of punch lists; punch clearance verification<\/li>\n
  • The candidate will be required to work closely with the Project Manager and construction team to ensure quality standards are achieved with minimal snags.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
