The Project BIM Manager is responsible for the planning, design, delivery of the project. Leadership of the BIM Team and coordinating with engineers, design teams, and third-party contractors.<\/p>\n<p>Dornan\u00a0are a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Mainland Europe, the Nordics and the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Power Generation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your day to day will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead Project BIM coordinators.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising and coordinating with Dornan Engineers, Design Teams and 3rd party contractors.<\/li>\n<li>Working as part of a team.<\/li>\n<li>Working with the BIM Manager to develop the project program and BIM delivery strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Manage workload of project Revit Technicians.<\/li>\n<li>Chair Weekly Coordination Meetings and Breakout Workshops with Dornan Engineers, Design Teams and 3rd party contractors, compiling minutes and action items from sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Implement the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) standards, and specific plans for each project.<\/li>\n<li>Support the BIM Manager in the development of Dornan BIM Standards throughout the business.<\/li>\n<li>Manage Master Revit MEP Model.<\/li>\n<li>Manage BIM 360 Project Workspace.<\/li>\n<li>Manage Fabrication CAD MEP project databases.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the production of weekly Updates of the Navisworks Model and issue Clash Detection Reports.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the production of fully annotated and coordinated 2D Builderworks Drawings (BWIC) and Services Drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Regularly track and report project progress to the BIM Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the close of completed projects with \u201cAs Built\u201d drawings and input to Operational &amp; Maintenance File.<\/li>\n<li>Assist to ensure all projects are driven to provide the best value solutions and delivered on time and within budget.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we are looking for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Level 7 degree in an Engineering discipline and\/or\u00a0Trade background. Electrician, Plumber, Fitter etc.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years&#8217;\u00a0experience in Lead BIM Coordinator Role, managing workload and tracking progress on projects.<\/li>\n<li>Autodesk AutoCAD &#8211; At least 4 years&#8217; experience.<\/li>\n<li>Autodesk Revit &#8211; At least 8 years&#8217; experience.<\/li>\n<li>Autodesk Navisworks &#8211; At least 5 years&#8217; experience.<\/li>\n<li>Autodesk Fabrication MEP.<\/li>\n<li>Solibri Model Checker.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability \/ experience of 3D coordination of M&amp;E systems (pipework, ventilation, containment, lighting, sprinkler &amp; Plant) for a large contractor.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability \/ experience of creating 2D construction issue drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability \/ experience in reading Architectural and M&amp;E drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Core construction discipline desirable (Architectural, Engineering or MEP)<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working on 3 No. Projects in BIM valued at over \u00a31m<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dornan\u00a0are currently recruiting for a BIM Manager to join our team in Little Island Cork.
