The department is responsible for ensuring the effective management of contractual issues via professional and focused contract management.\u00a0As a Service Contract Manager, your main responsibilities are undertaken prior to and during the service phase of offshore windfarms where you will support by providing advice and recommendations in relation to contractual and commercial issues affecting the delivery of operations &amp; maintenance (O&amp;M) services. \u00a0You will be responsible for providing contract management support, clarifying contractual obligations and compliance thereto while ensuring the company&#8217;s commercial interests are adequately always safeguarded.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Service team (Customer Manager\/Service Manager) and work closely with the Vestas Legal &amp; Compliance department<\/li>\n<li>Interpret, provide summaries and advise the Service team about the content and interpretation of the contract in terms of scope, obligations, rights, and remedies<\/li>\n<li>Draft routine notices, submissions, and communications to be submitted in accordance with the contract term and in coordination with the Service team<\/li>\n<li>Supervise an overview of defect claims, and coordinate evaluation and resolution of such claims with other departments<\/li>\n<li>Review incoming communications from the customer\/contractors and draft responses thereto<\/li>\n<li>Support the negotiation and drafting of settlement agreements with customers to optimize the resolution of disputes under the relevant agreements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contract and claims management experience, in particular with in-depth knowledge of cost and warranty claims<\/li>\n<li>Significant experience in construction or energy industry &#8211; wind or heavy construction industry experience appreciated<\/li>\n<li>Professional usage and execution of the standard forms of contract in construction and energy industries (ideally FIDIC based contracts)<\/li>\n<li>Law degree is appreciated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commercial \/ contractual awareness and acumen, and solid negotiation and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and significant organization skills<\/li>\n<li>Determined individual, proficient in managing their own responsibilities with minimal support<\/li>\n<li>Achievement in collaborating with a global, geographically diverse team<\/li>\n<li>Accurate and pragmatic approach to contract management and enforcement<\/li>\n<li>Positive attitude and genuine interest in process improvements<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in written and spoken English in business and legal environments.
