{"id":5752,"date":"2025-12-15T00:32:37","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T09:43:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=5752"},"modified":"2026-03-20T09:53:03","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T08:53:03","slug":"mercury-fire-protection-construction-limerick-irlandia","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/stanowisko\/mercury-fire-protection-construction-limerick-irlandia\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire Protection Construction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the Mercury Team, the Construction manager owns the project execution for the fire protection systems.\u00a0 You will report to the Operations Manager, and in conjunction with that person you will set specific goals for your elements of the project that align with the overall project objectives<\/p>\n<p>In this position you are required to deliver the scope of work as described in the design documents\/specification, within the allotted budget and ahead of schedule.\u00a0 You will also fulfil the role of coach\/mentor to more junior personnel in your team.\u00a0 You will be one that that directly manages the trades personnel; ensures that all works are carried out in the most efficient manner, and the highest possible quality standards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities of the Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish the detailed scope for this project.<\/li>\n<li>Be exceptionally diligent in managing project changes.\u00a0 Ensure that a verifiable and verified paper trail exists for all changes.<\/li>\n<li>You are the Mercury manager for all scope associated with the fire protection on this project.<\/li>\n<li>You must ensure that all work is planned and executed in strict alignment to the programme schedule: with the right people in the right place, at the right time.<\/li>\n<li>You will work with the design team to ensure that all materials; designs and equipment are available ahead of the need.<\/li>\n<li>You will be the primary driver of the Weekly and daily work plans.<\/li>\n<li>You will ensure that all personnel understand what \u201cchange\u201d looks like, and you will ensure that all changes are costed and approved before work commences.<\/li>\n<li>Work with the planning department to develop a schedule to meet the client\u2019s schedule needs, and to deliver all milestones ahead of schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Understand in detail the scope to be delivered in your discipline and have a thorough understanding of the design.<\/li>\n<li>Work with Client, Main Contractor and Design department to clarify design deliverables and ensure design schedules are met.<\/li>\n<li>The Fire Protection Team will build and monitor the schedule with you, it is you that owns the execution of the works to meet that schedule.\u00a0 You and\/or your team will work with the planners to develop a \u201cLast Planner\u201d level of detail schedule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>You must ensure that all foremen and supervisors under your control:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Manage their hours allocation to ensure a maximum S\/E of 0.95.<\/li>\n<li>Manage and Control Internal and External Reporting of Projects.<\/li>\n<li>Manager updating of S-Curves for progress reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure &gt; 0.99% right first time on all works.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that every member of your team has the required training to enable them to deliver the project requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all personnel are committed to the IFW philosophy on site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Safety-<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Role model all aspects of working in a safe manner and ensure that all of your leadership team do the same.<\/li>\n<li>Project Controls Skills- demonstrate a full and through understanding of all elements of the project delivery Start-up and ramp; execution; ramp down, Scope change control.<\/li>\n<li>Quality and safety indicators must be reported in line with the overall programme indicators and must reflect the performance of individual foremen and supervisors.\u00a0 Your quality goals are the same as the overall project.<\/li>\n<li>People\/Team Skills,- Know When to Delegate, Demonstrate your strategic and tactical goals for your area with associated goals\/targets and supporting indicators.
