The successful candidate will have a strong track record in cost management and quantity surveying, with experience managing commercial aspects of large-scale construction projects.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To lead the project Commercial Team and provide support to the construction team on all commercial and quantity surveying functions including the following key responsibilities:<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with contract obligations and provide advice and monitoring of same to construction team<\/li>\n<li>Ability to identify potential commercial risks and ensure prompt reporting of same to management.<\/li>\n<li>Compile monthly progress applications and ensure they are inclusive of accurate remeasure, site variations, dayworks or claims<\/li>\n<li>Procurement \u2013 operational procurement activity and contract support, in conjunction with the Procurement Department<\/li>\n<li>Manage subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations, and final account.<\/li>\n<li>Managing and forecasting of turnover and cash flow of the projects<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing and commercial management of all projects, to ensure accurate and reliable reporting<\/li>\n<li>Identify, analyse, and report on trends within the Business &amp; Projects<\/li>\n<li>Provide Data and analysis of issues &amp; risks as required by Management.<\/li>\n<li>Improve and implement best practice commercial processes and accurate budgeting<\/li>\n<li>Lead, support, and provide coaching to commercial team members in best practice quantity surveying and cost management methods.<\/li>\n<li>Review all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team and \/or subcontractors, to identify contractually critical items and to initiate replies<\/li>\n<li>To ensure Construction Team is adhering to all Contractual Requirements and providing advice and monitoring of same<\/li>\n<li>Ensure reporting is in line with Group Policies &amp; highlight exceptions to Management<\/li>\n<li>All other duties associated with this role<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant third level qualification in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent level of education (e.g. engineering) combined with commercial experience.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5+ years\u2019 experience post qualification with General Contractor experience.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work both individually and as part of a team<\/li>\n<li>Excellent IT Skills (SAP experience is an advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and organisation skills<\/li>\n<li>Must have excellent English language skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desirable Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Data centre experience<\/li>\n<li>CSA and MEP experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mercury is seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to join our site team on a large Data Centre construction project in Frankfurt.
