{"id":5926,"date":"2025-07-15T00:29:22","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T08:11:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=5926"},"modified":"2025-07-15T08:31:29","modified_gmt":"2025-07-15T06:31:29","slug":"ge-vernova-lead-commissioning-engineer-stafford-great-britain-2","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/?post_type=job_listing&p=5926","title":{"rendered":"Lead Commissioning Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span class=\"emphasis-3\">Responsibilities:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To effectively manage and supervise staff to ensure projects are executed in line with Client and GE expectations, programmes and within budget.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure accurate on-site test records, reports and quality documentation are created, maintained, and circulated in accordance with GE internal governance and GE quality plans.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the Commissioning Manager to effectively supervise, train, mentor and co-ordinate training and development plans for other assigned commissioning staff on site.<\/li>\n<li>To undertake assignments throughout the UK and globally as and when required.<\/li>\n<li>To undertake assignments or work on Offshore projects.<\/li>\n<li>To enact the role of LVAP on projects where GE are the Principal Contractor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Operations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promotes safe working practices and continual improvement in site safety culture.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the effective and efficient testing and commissioning of substation equipment ensuring that agreed activities are carried out in strict accordance with the pre-set time scales, budgets and applicable quality processes.<\/li>\n<li>Effectively undertakes operational responsible for the daily management and setting to work of site commissioning field resources in order to maximize the potential for successful project delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the preparation, creation and issue of site test documentation including but not limited to RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement), NCR\u2019s (Non-conformance Report), TQ\u2019s (Technical Queries) in accordance with approved processes and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Communicating site non-compliances or deviations to Site Manager and Project Engineer.<\/li>\n<li>Reports to the Site Manager \/ Project Manager and Commissioning Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Enacts the role of LV Authorised Person (Advanced) in accordance with requirements of GE Low Voltage Safe Systems of Work (LVSSOW) procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates expert knowledge and experience in the field of Site Commissioning.<\/li>\n<li>Capable of working independently in problem solving and decision making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deliverables:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for organising work to an agreed program and to execute commissioning activities within the pre-set time scales and budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate adequate skills in interpretation, optimization and application of company policies to achieve key deliverables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Values:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comply with the GE code of ethics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Measurement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project delivery within budget.<\/li>\n<li>Timely submission of weekly reports.<\/li>\n<li>Quality, Environmental, Safety Improvement Indicators.<\/li>\n<li>Adherence to company procedures, rules and GE Beliefs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"emphasis-3\">Education &amp; Experience:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering \/ HND in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience &amp; knowledge of HV substation protection relays, SCADA systems an IEC61850 protocol.<\/li>\n<li>Testing &amp; Commissioning of HV and LV Switchgear and Equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Fault finding on protection schemes and use of test equipment such as omicron, programma &amp; megger.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Business understanding:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge and experience of Construction and Field Services site work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Responsibilities: To effectively manage and supervise staff to ensure projects are executed in line with Client and GE expectations, programmes and within budget.
