APD delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity up to \u00a320bn, through the technical disciplines of programme management, project management, project controls, scheduling, cost management, estimating, infrastructure finance, management consulting, digital consulting and education, health and care management.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview of the role<\/strong><br \/>\nAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will assist the Associate\/Projects Director or other defined line manager in business management, sales and the running of a cost consultancy team and subsequent achievement of project and business goals.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities and duties include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the management of a Cost Consultancy team<\/li>\n<li>Take part in contract reviews relating to the contract with the customer<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports\/liaison with sub-divisional manager<\/li>\n<li>Assist with securing new and repeat business in line with the sub-divisional budget<\/li>\n<li>Comply with QES system and Group\/Unit directives<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of estimates and cost plans in line with the brief<\/li>\n<li>Potential to engage with line management duties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidate specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying subject (or equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>Proven skills and experience of delivering within a Cost Consultancy<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable track record of working in the management services environment<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in stakeholder management<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility in work location and travel<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience of working on nuclear projects preferred<\/li>\n<li>Please be advised that offers for this role are conditional upon obtaining the appropriate level of Security Clearance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desirable:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MRICS qualified<\/li>\n<li>Excellent report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritise and able to work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues<\/li>\n<li>Excellent presentation and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to work<\/li>\n<li>Proactive and self-motivated<\/li>\n<li>Effective time management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mott MacDonald\u2019s Advisory and Programme Delivery\u202f(APD) unit delivers both project, programme &amp;
