{"id":6100,"date":"2025-09-25T00:30:38","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T10:19:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=6100"},"modified":"2025-09-25T08:20:00","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T06:20:00","slug":"atkinsrealis-senior-principal-electrical-power-engineer-glasgow-wielka-brytania","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/?post_type=job_listing&p=6100","title":{"rendered":"Senior\/Principal Electrical \/ Power Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The role is to lead electrical engineering design and to provide technical support to the operation and decommissioning of nuclear and power generation facilities. <strong>This may include the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Production of feasibility, concept and detailed design deliverables (i.e. calculations, modelling, specifications, drawings).<\/li>\n<li>Project requirement identification and design substantiation.<\/li>\n<li>Specification of electrical plant and equipment to achieve process objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Provision of specialist consultancy advice on power station medium and high voltage apparatus.<\/li>\n<li>Operations &amp; Maintenance technical support including condition monitoring for asset management.<\/li>\n<li>Plant assessments and life-extension exercises to assist Clients with investment decision making processes.<\/li>\n<li>Production of technical reports, procedures and drawings.<\/li>\n<li>Responsibility for the technical delivery of projects and leadership of discipline-based teams. Including technical change control and review of technical documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Other key aspects of the role will include assisting in the production of bids and proposals and implementing and contributing to safety initiatives. You will also liaise with operators, designers and clients, building a strong relationship with them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you can bring:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Honours degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience. Including membership of IET and Chartered Engineer status.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant industry experience and a record of supporting technically challenging projects.<\/li>\n<li>Technical practitioner able to demonstrate good engineering judgement and with experience in using fundamental engineering skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent numeracy, written and verbal communication skills with ability to present arguments both verbally and written. Able to produce and review\/correct high-quality technical reports.<\/li>\n<li>Flexible approach as required for site work on new and existing power plants and applying skills in new areas.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work as an individual or lead a diverse team across various geographic locations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>You will be able to demonstrate significant experience in some (but not necessarily all) of the following areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and specification of medium and low voltage electrical networks, including knowledge of relevant engineering software.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of power generation technologies, in particular HV electrical rotating machines and static plant.<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in power station condition monitoring techniques. Including thorough knowledge (in general and for HV electrical work in particular) of site safety systems, preparation of risk assessments and method statements.<\/li>\n<li>Operational plant experience to allow troubleshooting based on real plant issues gained from operator and consultancy provider perspectives.<\/li>\n<li>Review of plant equipment, systems and operating regimes to identify problems and develop.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The role is to lead electrical engineering design and to provide technical support to the operation and decommissioning of nuclear and power generation facilities.
