We place them at the heart of what we do, providing challenging opportunities to develop within a great team in a supportive environment that allows them to reach their full potential.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities of the Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that projects under their control are delivered safely on time and within budget.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare weekly and monthly progress reporting on project status that track % complete, schedule performance, baseline variance and costs.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a register of all projects and ensure the status of each project is always known.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver all projects in line with both Mercury Engineering and the client\u2019s health and safety requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that subcontractors used have been vetted by Mercury procurement department and are approved before use.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all work performed is delivered in accordance with the permitting requirements of Mercury\u2019s electrical safety rules.<\/li>\n<li>Guide and assist your project team, aligning your expectations with project requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out routine inspection of the projects being executed to confirm they are being performed in line with the scope of work and schedule agreed.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that a schedule and milestones are in place for all works and that subcontractor invoicing is measured in accordance with the schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor that the subcontractors have sufficiently resourced the project being delivered to maintain the delivery schedule.<\/li>\n<li>The Project Manager will be able to manage various projects being delivered across multiple sites that are of varying size and complexity.<\/li>\n<li>The Project Manager will ensure that all works have an established execution plan, and a safe plan of work, and that the subcontractors are performing their work in accordance with the plan.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the contract budget and report at internal and client facing meetings on monthly status.<\/li>\n<li>Be the point of contact during significant events or multi-discipline technical escalations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring contractually agreed SLA\u2019s and KPI\u2019s within the Scope of Works (SOW) are met and necessary record retention demonstrating adherence.<\/li>\n<li>Implement Mercury Project audit plan<\/li>\n<li>Review weekly Project audits and address open items with your team<\/li>\n<li>Discuss findings and trends with your Construction Manager, your team and the BU Leads<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Audit findings are clearly communicated to all stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Drive closure of all open Audit findings<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all EHS alerts are communicated effectively<\/li>\n<li>Engage in the campaigns being run to reflect the alerts \u2013 TBT, Stand-down, Demonstration<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Mercury Procedures are in place and being adhered to on your project<\/li>\n<li>Ensure you and your team have fully reviewed and understand the Project specifications and documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Plan procurement and ensure engineering is developed to meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all Material Take Offs are completed to compare with Sub-Contractor pricing returns<\/li>\n<li>Review quality of output and foster continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li>Attendance at planned meetings, TBT, SLT, DABS.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate client meetings<\/li>\n<li>Push strong QEHS approach with Client<\/li>\n<li>Identify improvement opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Set standards for training requirements for Mercury and Sub-Contractor staff and Make the training available<\/li>\n<li>Review weekly Progress update with the project planner and implement strategies to ensure project remains on track. Issue Project report.<\/li>\n<li>Use the project lookaheads to drive the project<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordinate with the various Project teams to ensure your dates can be achieved.<\/li>\n<li>Guide and assist your project team<\/li>\n<li>Align your expectations with Project requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ensure your expectations are clearly understood<\/li>\n<li>Empower your Construction Manager to set up a functional site<\/li>\n<li>Set clear expectations and track against the KPIs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weekly Meetings<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Schedule and chair meeting with your team, the Design team, and the Client<\/li>\n<li>Follow up and ensure a timely close out of any outstanding items.<\/li>\n<li>Attend and actively contribute to EHS and QA meetings<\/li>\n<li>Attend Morning White board evening schedule meetings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Criteria for the Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5 years\u2019 experience in a similar position.<\/li>\n<li>Professional project management qualifications or a trade qualification.<\/li>\n<li>Detailed understanding and experience of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data centre environment, including Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS Systems, Battery Banks, ATS\/STS Units, PDU Units, Air Handling Units, Chilled Water Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, and Fire Suppression Systems (pre-action sprinklers).<\/li>\n<li>Understanding all the associated safety code related requirements relative to providing the service.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Health &amp; Safety Risk Assessments and Control Measures.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in vendor management, ability to manage and monitor progress to ensure objectives are achieved for outsourced support and projects.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Project Management principles &amp; delivering DC project upgrade works.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with the client, employees and subcontractors.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent motivational and influencing skills, with high levels of personal integrity.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate technical and business problems in a non-technical manner.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment.<\/li>\n<li>Travel and working abroad will be required for this role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We build and manage complex engineering &amp; construction projects for the world\u2019s leading corporations.
